Seriously who has the time to write “Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,” these days? :p
A delicate pencil image used as a Christmas card and cropped as a gift tag also. Featured in ‘painted nature’ Thank you! Featured in ‘Alternative Christmas images’ Thank you!
just a re-touch on an old one, thanks for viewing xx
I’ve come up with another collection; titled Contemporary Christmas. The images are accompanied with some ideas for decorating and celebrating Christmas. I hope you enoy it as much as I will! This was made by my son last year and it had pride of place on top of our tree. It’ll be there again this year. He’s so proud of this one, and so am I. Decorating In Detail – Childhood is so fleeting; preserve memories by using your children’s artworks as Christmas decorations. For things like my Little Angel, use them as is and hang them where your child/children can see them and tell all your visitors! / For drawings, cut out the special parts, laminate and hang! If you don’t have a laminating machine, clear, think sticky tape (celotape or Scotch tape, depending on where you are in the world) will do nicely. Lay the artwork on a clean table, stretch out a good amount of tape, hold your breath, and lay it down on the artwork. You can use several measures of tape to cover the piece front and back. Then cut off the excess tape, attach a ribbon or yarn to hang it.

Update 22.09.09 / I’ve come up with another collection; titled Contemporary Christmas. The images are accompanied with some ideas for decorating and celebrating Christmas. I hope you enoy it as much as I will! What I’m preparing for Chistmas ;) Decorating In Detail – For the table, you can use scrapbook paper or christmas wrapping from previous years as placemats. That way, you don’t have to worry about spills ruining your table cloth. / You can also make a special table cloth out of cheap calico fabric and some fabric pain. Buy a large enough calico cloth, hem the edges (you can use iron-on hemming tape), wash and dry. Then paint your favourite Christmas patterns on; if you’ve got kids, let them play with it. It’ll be a nice project to keep as well. You can even keep it for years to come and add more decorations and drawings on it.

Noodle is a former pound kitty. He was to be put to death, thank God we found him before it was too late! He is a fantastic friend; very comical, into everything, and he loves everybody – even the neighborhood dogs. He insists on being held, kissed and carried around. He joins conversations and loves to pose for camera! He is very much a people lover.
The smell of these around the house at Christmas is wonderful! Reminds me of when I was little. This was made for me by my friend Sue. I’ve had it several years and it still smells wonderful.
Just in time for Christmas. Watercolour.
Christmas is coming as we all well know, so what better time to stock up on cards. I’ve made these as low-cost and good-value as possible so you can send them to your loved ones this Christmas. More in my Christmas card range to follow. / Enjoy, and feel free to suggest design tweaks – I can personalise them is you want, within reason, for no extra cost. Thanks! / This is a perfect card for a child or teenager looking for something different!

I am looking for unusual and interesting “CHRISTMAS/NEW YEAR” images. I don’t know about you but I get very bored looking at commercially available Christmas cards, so this is the reason I started this group. I hope to make this a focal point for the discerning Christmas card buyer.
Please bookmark this page and return when you are ready to buy Christmas cards.
I will restrict entries to two or three per artist at this stage. I think we already have a great collection here.
I am looking for the unusual.. interesting.. alternative.. different.. and high quality.
Images that stand out from the rest.
Please don’t be offended if your image is rejected, you are welcome to try others. In the end its only my opinion and I will be selective. I do try to have a good close look at works submitted but I occasionally miss a good image, if you strongly think I have made a mistake in rejecting your image please let me know and I will look at it again. But I would expect to find lots of “wow” type comments on your work to take it seriously. REPEATED SUBMISSIONS OF THE SAME IMAGE ARE MORE LIKELY TO PERSUADE ME TO PRESS “REJECT” FOR ALL YOUR IMAGES.
I don’t get involved in discussions on the “why’s” and “wherefore’s” of my decisions.. life is too short for that.. if I think the image fits the above criteria I generally press the “accept” button.
There is also a very good and popular group for all Seasonal images.
(Secretly I’m rather proud that this group has more members than images…)
