  • And here we have Rama by BarbBarcikKeith

Rama’s story is a very sad one. He was rescued from a frightful owner and was under weight at that time. Through many visits from their vet, they discovered that there was not one bone in Rama’s body that had not be cracked or broken at one point or another. The vet felt that he had received a tremendous blow to the head which cost him the sight in one eye. When I first met Rama, he would not come out of his lockbox.. he would just hide. After a while that changed when he learned that he could trust again. Regretably Rama died in early 2007 and will be sorely missed. / I truly hope that another message comes through.. that these animals DO NOT MAKE GOOD PETS.. that’s why places like Noah’s are in existence. If people would just think before they buy that cute LITTLE cub.. life would be easier on all of us especially the animals. After all.. they didn’t ask to be in the situation they are.. and there are far to many unscrupulous people out there that are in it for the money.. / At least with education, we might make a little difference.. even if we save just one animal.. it’s a beginning!! / All proceeds from any sales will be donated to Noah’s Lost Ark Sanctuary for the care and feeding of the animals.

  • Caring by Mike Finley

This image depicts a baby hedgehog at rest on a carer’s hand (Lena) just after being fed. (The photograph was taken by natural light coming through a window, to avoid disturbing the hedgehog.) / This was one of many abandoned or orphaned baby hedgehogs reared by volunteers at the Lower Moss Wood Wildlife Hospital in 2005 for later release back to the wild. / Half of any profit from sales of this image will be donated to Lower Moss Wood (Registered Charity No. 1078209). • TeeJay by BarbBarcikKeith

arrived at Noah’s with his buddy, the lion cub Sammy. They still share the same enclosure but they are a LOT bigger. I will try and get some more recent pictures. Another of Nina Wolf’s excellent pics.. with her permission.

  • Pumpkin by BarbBarcikKeith

Her’s is one of the saddest stories. / The people – I use that word loosely – who owned her believed that if you kept her in a small area – she wouldn’t grow!! Talk about ignorance!! / When Noah’s got her, she had spent around 3 years in a “dog cage” that wouldn’t even hold a german shepherd comfortably! The poor cat’s head leaned to one side and the only thing she could do was SIT.. there was no room for her to lay down! / When Ellen got her to Noah’s she had to move very slowly. Pumpkin would scream when out of her cage because her muscles where so used to being in one position, it hurt to stretch them. It has taken time.. a lot of time, but Pumpkin now runs and plays with her “roommate” – Katie. The only visible remnant of what she went through is a permanent lump on her back. / All proceeds from the sale of this photograph will be donated to Noah’s Lost Ark Sanctuary for the care and feeding of the various critters that reside there. Photograph by Nina Wolf, whose permission I have to do this.

  • Mariah by BarbBarcikKeith

Here’s a cat with a strange history. She was apparently raised near some wolves because when she was brought to Noah’s, she would not eat.. well, not until they put her next to the wolves. Then life was good. / To this day Rah-Rah (her nickname) still lives right next to a wolf.. she just seems to be more at home that way. But, please understand, that these animals DO NOT MAKE GOOD PETS.. that’s why places like Noah’s are in existence. This photograph was taken by Nina Wolf and I have her permission to do this.

Photograph by Nina Wolf, whose permission I have to do this.
