"This Side Or That Side" by Vickie Emms
I hardly ever see a Peacock show his full feathers while I want a picture. On this day at the Assiniboine Park Zoo, Winnipeg, Manitoba I was lucky enough to see several of them show off for me. It’s as if he is asking “this side or that side” because he was prancing and sounding off in front of a female and another male. I just love their bright, unbelievably beautiful colored feathers. Orton Effect applied to this photo.

This tiny nervous wren popped into view just after dawn. As soon as the shutter sound was made it flew away. But in this one moment it looks proud and brave.

These three little birds…at least two were Robins…I think the third one is also a Robin…maybe they are male and females…were hiding in the tree from me…they were scavenging from the ground for bird seed I through out for them…I came out in an attempt to freeze my butt off some more and get even more pics…and that I did!
