Graphite on illustration board. My Christmas greeting, 2002. The infant is drawn from a reference photo I took of my son’s first Christmas, 6 weeks. He’s now 21 years old. :) Inspired by the Christmas song of the same title, written by Chris Rice. The grapes and wheat are symbolic of the Eucharist, and the holly head wreath symbolic of the crown of thorns and crucifixion. I made this image for our parish church to use for printed Christmas materials.
