  • The Replacement by DiEtte Henderson

Cute story: Brought a chocolate cake to Christmas dinner and a conversation ensued about how chocolate is an aphrodisiac and we were all like…hmmmm, really – cause we are a family of serious chocolate lovers! • Hand-made noodles by richardseah

Not everyone’s idea of “hand-made noodles”.... A noodle-seller in Burma, today Myanmar, uses her hands to mix noodles with various ingredients and sauces before serving the dish to a customer. Note that the noodle seller has two round circles on her cheeks! That’s Tanaka, a powder made from the bark of the Tanaka tree that is supposed to keep the skin looking beautiful. It is the mark of a Burmese woman. I have not seen this on the women of other nations, but once saw it on a Burmese woman on the bus in Singapore! This is one of about 85 images in my new photography book, Photograph of Hands. You can buy the e-book version at a very special price that YOU DECIDE. Yes, you decide how much to pay me for the book, via paypal to richard_seah@singnet.com.sg and I will email the e-book to you. The book will later be available via print on demand at Blurb.com. It will be a HAND-some large format volume, 11×13 inch, 80 pages.
