Recent Work

  • Tarkine stream below the falls by Jeff Barnard

The Tarkine is Australia’s, and one of the world’s, largest tracts of cool temperate rainforest. It is a region of exraordinary beauty and is unfortunately unprotected so is under threat from unsustainable forestry practices and other land clearing practices. Just 50 metres downstream of Tarkine Falls this spot is criss crossed by fallen logs covered in mosses. The forest canopy completely shrouds the stream from direct sunlight so the moss covers everything.
