just a photo i took and a thought i had and a thing ive learned along the way…...reject rejections…....it works, don’t allow any rejections to affect you, only you can allow yourself to be touched by rejections….....just don’t. that’s what i have learned for one….....in 54 years….......of lots of it…....NO MORE, This is a photo of a sign of rejections…YES sure im listening…I just can’t hear you….....all i see is your BACK, KISS me goodnight ah ah ok….....turn around so i can see your lips. I read somewhere that is also a sign of rejections…when you sleep with your husband…or lay down with a friend…they turn their back to you immediately…..hummmmmmm….Pray for em. Ah maybe their back hurts….?

acrylic on canvas 150×80cm / / Unofficial Earth Day flag, by John McConnell: the Blue Marble on a blue background. Earth Day is one of two different observances, both held annually during spring in the northern hemisphere, and autumn in the southern hemisphere. These are intended to inspire awareness of and appreciation for the Earth’s environment. The United Nations celebrates an Earth Day each year on the March equinox, a tradition which was founded by peace activist John McConnell in 1969. A second Earth Day, which was founded by U.S. politician Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in in the late 1960s, is celebrated in many countries each year on April 22.

Part of the entrance to Da Bo Gong, a Buddhist temple on Kusu Island The island’s name means “Turtle” and is one of the southern islands of Singapore, off the Straits of Singapore. It can only be reached by ferry. I spent some time visiting this temple dedicated to Da Bo Gong, the God of Prosperity and Guan Yin, the Godess of Mercy. As I made an offering and sat deep in thought, I felt impacted by the powerful energy of the temple surrounding me…...a little bit of what I have tried to re-create here…...... It was dark and this was all alone. So I fired off a few shots to see what I could capture. The colour is correct, the contrast has been enhanced a bit. It’s also been cropped to remove some of the black border as there was far too much inky blackness. Can you tell me what it is? Art that uses real images as the starting point for abstract art. The image should still be somewhat recognisable, yet still be abstract.
So no pure realism and no pure abstraction. The image must be somewhere between those two. Standing in both camps.
