  • Mud Flats watercolor painting by Coolart by coolart

Mud flats landscape watercolor painting. This work was inspired from watching an art feature on how to paint the scene. I watched avidly took some notes turned off the TV and then produced the work. I then decided to add the wooden stakes and the plants to add a focal point of interest and some foreground details.

  • School's Out by Joanne Bradley

Taken at Kempenfelt Bay, Lake Simcoe, Barrie, Ontario Canada on Monday June 2nd/08. Leaning over the docks I noticed this school of minnows that kept dispersing and rejoining in intricate patterns in the water. My husband did not think I should upload this to RB but I find it an interesting abstract of the underwater world. • Reflections Of The Water by Laurie Puglia

Summer Silently the morning mist is lying on the water / Captive moonlight waiting for the dawn / Softly like a babys breath a breeze begins to whisper / The sun is coming, quick you must be gone / Smiling like a superstar the morning comes in singing / The promise of another sunny day / And all the flowers open up to gather in the sunshine / I do believe that summers here to stay And oh I love the life within me / I feel part of everything I see / And oh I love the life around me / A part of everything is here in me Riding on the tapestry of all there is to see / So many ways and oh so many things / Rejoicing in the differences, thers no one just like me / Yet as different as we are were still the same And oh I love the life within me / I feel part of everything I see / And oh I love the life around me / A part of everything is here in me Fall Reflections on the water like shadows in my mind / Speak to me of passing days and nights and passing time / The falling leaves are whispering winters on its way / I close my eyes remembering the warmth of yesterday It seems a shame to see September swallowed by the winter / And more than that its oh so sad to see the summer end / And though the changing colors are a lovely thing to see / If it were mine to make the change Id let it be But I dont remember hearing anybody asking me. / John Denver Canon Digital Rebel Xsi, 12.2 mp / Taken in Folsom in Northern California.

  • The Fed Ex - Deliver Me from My Trespasses as I Deliver to Those Only What I Haven't Eaten (Holiday Food) by sleightflow

A lot of layers, yes. I dedicate this work, my first new Digital image in months, to Hilton. I hope he can understand that all of my behaviors have been motivated by my current mental state, and have never once meant to reflect upon him as a person I care about. I’m little good to anybody when mania hits, drops, and then my affect blunts, but I wish I could somehow better make those I care about see how mixed up I am in my own flesh, feeling or not, and find a way to assure them it is my failing as a person, never theirs as one deserving my time. Nothing cutesy today my friends – nothing in my current world light enough to make so of.

  • All Is Silent Save The Wind by Joanne Bradley

The woods were a revelation, silent and magical as we walked in single file following a path beaten down by other boots. The trees sheltered us from the wind but we could hear it as it gently made its way through the forest. It was lightly snowing. The late afternoon light was diffused but we could see clearly between the branches. And the trees appeared as warm brown soldiers, guarding the forest, festooned with snowflakes and boughs heavy with layers of snow, as we quietly made our way to the other side. No conversation was necessary and both of us would stop and just look around us in wonder… Taken on Friday January 2nd 2009 in St-Lazare, Quebec CANADA in the forest surrounding my friend Wanda’s house in the country.
