(Mixed Media 5×7 on CardStock) The title is pretty self-explanatory; A woman has received a love letter from the gentleman in upper left-hand corner and is running off to meet him;despite the fact that she’s (literally)tied to her home & unhappy marriage. Again,I used a Pre-Raphlite lady as the “heroine” and the background paper has French words on it,to show she’s running away to Paris.,I added butterflies to symbolize flight & used foam “pop dots” for a 3D effect.

Yes, I did actually manage to read all 4 massive books in the ‘Twilight’ series while my computer was ‘sick’. So – for a bit of ‘light relief’ – my take on the traditional ‘vampire’. I know this one doesn’t actually ‘match’ any of the wonderful vampire characters in ‘Twilight’ (by Stephanie Meyer) – the only vampire there with flaming red hair definitely comes across as a ‘bad guy’ – not one willing or able to join the good, ‘vegetarian vampire coven’ that the story is based around. / But – I just couldn’t see myself creating an image of something with fangs and a lot of fake blood – so bright red hair has to substitute. A ‘vampire’ maybe not willing or able to clearly show him or herself as she is to the outside non-supernatural world? A composite image created from many of my own photographs. I have Asperger’s Syndrome. It is an Autistic Spectrum Disorder. / Sometimes it makes life a little difficult, but it also helps me look at the world differently to most “neurotypicals”. Which, I guess is not such a bad thing. / Autistic Spectrum Disorder is often represented by a rainbow symbol (usually arainbow in the shape of an infinity symbol). / Many autistics are fascinated by shiny objects, so I thought this mirror ball in my stepmother’s yard was very fitting. /

Please View Large Langal has a wonderful camp site that hardly anyone uses as no one knows about it. It is located on Loch Shiel a fresh water loch that runs eventually into the Atlantic Ocean. This boat is owned by the camp site owners who allows folk using his site to go out onto the loch to fish for sea trout, salmon and other wonderful species of these waters. Had I been a fisherman I would have seriously taken him up on his offer, as the fish that my neighbour camper caught smelt wonderful as he cooked them on his BBQ. I always love that totally relaxed look that a cat gets when it is snug and content. I kind of want to shush the world and ask it not to disturb her; or me, for that matter! She loves to wedge into this box of important papers that is near my computer! I believe this image has a three-dimensional quality to it. / / /

Best on Full Size 699 views on 11/7/09 This image was taken at the same time on October 10, 2009, and in relatively the same spot as Almost Home , but I was turned in the other direction, looking back the way I’d come. This area is within the Blue Knob State Park in Pavia, Pennsylvania on the extension of Pavia Road (4035). Image taken with the Nikon D300 and the 18-200m vr Nikon lens, hand held. Shutter 1/400, aperture f/10.0, exp. 0.00, iso 1,000. Duplicates created in Photoshop to an eval of +3, +1 and -3 and processed in Photomatix Pro for hdr, then returned to Photoshop for the addition of two textures and some tweaking. Well, actually, considerable tweaking. How do the road workers know to put their obnoxious signs RIGHT where I want to snap a shot??? And as for the RVers off to the left … well .. thank heavens for the clone tool, LOL!!! Featured on RedBubble “Art – Featured Art & Photography” page 11/4/09. WHEEEEEEE!!!! / My thanks to Princess of Shadows at Deviant Art for the textures.

Acrylic painting on watercolour paper with highlights of gold of a beautiful Yellow Sunflower. This is a gift for a dear friend’s daughter who is turning 18. She adores Sunflowers. A little poem that will accompany this has also been written for her. I remember the day I nursed you to sleep / Not even a sound, not even a peep. / Who would believe 18 years has now flown / And into a beautiful woman you have now grown! Linda
