An Act of Beauty by Vestque
Installment 3 of 5 of the “For the Masses” Seres. From above the crowds you sit high and mighty / The masses cheer for you, their applause is thunderous / You are their beauty. Their eyes burn brightly with adoration and awe. / Although you are weighed down by your own adornment / You smile and wave… / Although the pull of your pride and ornament tears at your seat’s security / You smile and wave… / Yet, Unbeknown to you the breaking of these strings is what the masses are truly cheering for…

Bruce Forsyth on acid by mouseman
The viewing figures hit our Brucey hard, the veteran performer once beloved for his catchphrases and camp dance-routines, struggled to get jobs once Come Dancing and traditional Gameshows went out of style. His disastrous effort at the London variety show saw him cry out his old catchphrase “Nice to see you, to see you…?” , the audience were supposed to scream out “NICE” but now they just groaned and the younger ones looked bewildered. Brucey staggered from there a broken man, he tried to sell a book about his resultant depression but even that only sold 3 copies, but Brucey eventually clawed his way back with a five-minute slot in a youth TV programme entitled “What the Fuck” with his weekly episode of “Bruce Forsyth on Acid.” This picture is from his first showing when he immediately had the nation’s youth in hysterics as he tripped off his face dancing and gibbering incoherently. His early work in this genre was certainly the best, after a few months the drugs and exertions took their toll, his 5 minute slot continues but the rest of the week Bruce just rocks back and forth in the corner of a padded cell until his agent wheels him out and drugs him up for the next episode.

When I needed to get away from it all, I went here... by crazyB
When I lived in the mountains and I was depressed or needed a quiet spot to reflect and write, this was that spot. Right in the middle on that rock. I’d walk through the cold water and climb up onthat rock and write for hours.
