This is Rosalie – While dad’s eyes are still causing major frustration, he has had some encouragement by way of a request for another of his south coast photos (Swan Lake No 1) for a further edition of the tourist publication, iMAG !! He is excited – a ‘light in the darkness’ so to speak at the moment. I was just down the coast for 3 days and it was strange to be watching all the tourists walking around with copies of the January issue with dad’s Inlet shot in it … if you are down that way, pick up a copy – he’s on p43!!! Again dad thanks everyone for their support, messages and encouragement.

We have started to hang works for the Berry Summer Expo (exhibition) for the Shoalhaven Art Society. All the rest of the works should be delivered tomorrow ( Friday) and your fees too. Don’t forget to put YOUR NAME ON THE BERRY ROSTER! Opening is on Saturday at 10.00am at the Berry School of Arts building/annex and runs until January 27th ( the day after Australia Day!). I will not be there on the Saturday ( attending a last minute wedding at Tomerong!). Donna

There are a lot of artists on RB who also have disabilities that can sometimes affect their art and their careers. often this can lead to a feeling of aloneness and despair.

The web gives us a unique opportunity to pursue our careers with vigor despite our disabilities and conditions. when we unite together and work together for the sake of our careers we can achieve anything.

This group is for different people with disabilities to get together to discuss our art, to feel connected with others in similar situations and to look at exhibiting together and boosting each other’s career, not to mention just encouraging one another. This is a collaborative, supportive group centered around artistic careers and development. when you feel alone you often don’t know where to start, and then you are afraid to take the first steps. this group is about taking those steps together.
