This painting is of the view I saw walking through the portico of the convent building adjoining the San Felipe de Neri church. The cactus was not in bloom at the time, so I added those in for more color. This is located in Old Town, Albuquerque, New Mexico. PLEASE READ THIS. / Taken in Tunga/Zuga Village, Kebbe State. Remote Nigeria. Grace was very ill and close to death. I thank God for those here on RB who prayed earnestly and donated funds towards her care. Today Grace is completely recovered, and Sings her Sunday School songs with much joy. This is my passion and inspiration in life. I live to help the poor and inspired by many here on Rb who pray and donate to the mission. Her life has touched many around the world. Without your help, she would have died. Thank you so much my friends. God is your reward. We urgently need to raise finance to drill a new bore well in Tunga/Zuga. Their old well have completely caved in. Now the are drinking river water again. This is what kills and blinds so many in Remote and isolated villages. The new well will serve 5 villages, and it will cost $5.000. Please pray and help in whatever way you can. Unframed. / This painting came about by seeing a photo on Flickr I asked the photographer if i could use it for a paitning, this girl and boy are from Etheopia but they could just as easy be from Malawi. I loved the light on thier faces. I was visiting my sister in Malawi 2 years ago which gave me a love to get back to painting african faces. The are a few changes from the photo and a brighter background. Artist call it ARTISTIC licience.

Out of the Fog 2- River Nile by TREVOR IRWIN
this was taken while standing on the banks of the river Nile in Nigeria. late evening and we were waiting for the small ferry to transport our Vehicles and us to the other side. Its a two day journey by road and dirt track from our mission center in Kujama in kaduna State to Tunga/Zuga Village in Kebbe state. I have made this journey several times and Live with the villagers in the remote village. Nothing can ever prepare me to deal with the extreme poverty, Sickness and Disease that is so extreme here. Dying Children, that could be saved with just a few drugs and a little money. My Passion and Inspiration comes from my Lord and his great love for the poor. In 1994, I dedicated the remainder of my life to reach the poor, not only with the Gospel of Salvation, but to rasie awareness throughout the word of their plight, adn to raise an army of Prayer warriors, and those who would sow a financial seed into their lives. NEVER GIVE UP!!! Self-portrait on the Chattahoochee River near the Buford Dam in Cumming, GA. (View larger for full effect…) I was giving God the glory in this self-capture and thanking HIM for bringing me through the most difficult times of my life. I had a mysterious diagnosis for 7+ years. It seemed like I had every test done imaginable… I felt like I was dying, and I almost did a few times. I was at the point where I asked God to either take me up to heaven soon, or give me an ANSWER! It got that bad. I was not living… I was suffering and struggling to hang in there. I gradually grew worse as time passed. Finally, one of the last diagnostic tests performed was an echocardiogram followed by a TEE test. THE discovery was made. I had two heart defects; my surgeon was amazed I was still alive. Basically, I was a walking stoke about to happen at any time. I just had major heart surgery last year… they stopped my heart and collapsed my lungs, repaired my heart, and after 6 hours in the operating room, I came out, and I woke up. I am here!!! It was a LONG journey, but I made it. I thank God, my family and friends for all of their prayers, and for an amazing cutting edge surgeon! In this time of recovery and healing, my creative outlet has been spent with photography, my true passion! Witness to a real Miracle! by TREVOR IRWIN
PLEASE READ THIS. “This was the exact moment in time when the Power of almighty God and his great compassion and love, touched a dying Child”. Taken in Kaban Muslim village in Nov 2008. I was ministering in the village along with several mission staff, and a mother brought her almost dead child to me and asked for Prayer. As I held the still body of this little boy in my arms, my thoughts went straight to Jesus. I spoke to teh Mother and all around me that the only one that could save this child now as Jesus. I said I will pray in Jesus name. There were a few unhappy elders around, but decided to agree that I should pray in Jesus name, just to see what would Happen. This was the breakthrough. Kaban village is a Muslim village and under Sheria Law. I simply laid my hand on the child and commanded life and divine health to enter the child and that God would fill this child with his spirit. In Jesus name I prayed. Instantly the child because to move his arms and legs and began to cry. I told the mother Jesus had healed her son, and to take her son and breastfeed him as he was hungry. All saw the Power of Jesus and was witnessed by all in the village. Others then came and many were healed and some openly give their lives to Jesus. others followed us on our way to Ungwa/Fada village and received Jesus in private. Jesus is alive and works in and through his people. He loves you, and that is a fact. Anyone is welcome to join, regardless of faith or religion. However, this is a Christian based group, and by joining, you agree to abide by our guidelines and to show respect to our members.
