You are used to these blanched dim corridors, / you are used to the king / who passes you without speaking. The other one is different / and you almost remember him. / He says he is singing to you / because he loves you, not as you are now, / so chilled and minimal: moving and still / both, like a white curtain blowing / in the draft from a half-opened window / beside a chair on which nobody sits. (Margaret Atwood)
Based on a picture I did for college where the module was Sharp. I asked Dan if he would model for me because he had the exact look I was looking for. There will be a couple or three more from the shoot on the way. Layers and blends, a black and white conversion made sepia with curves with an added cracked and painted glass texture which was also given a sepia tone. All my own pictures.

Ah, DZ 015. There’s one I haven’t seen in many’s the long year. / No surprises there either, it was pulled in by a quirky set of DMA requests that happened by chance. Its been down there a long time, look at how filthy it is. It hasn’t been connected for ages judging by the damage and the muck in the I/O ports. / I can’t even remember the last time I used something that could connect to it, my equipment has been through at least ten updates since I used gear like this. But it is chained to something, could be nothing or it could be something scary, we’ll see in time. There’s no telling what it actually does til I get it raised and on land, I can’t see anything below the waterline without going down there, and I’m not doing that. / Now that I have it its time to open it and see what’s inside that I could use. While it was a bad day it was a period of rapid technological advancement and I may have forgotten something useful along the way. Here’s what happened, I overheard one of my housemates jilting someone down the phone. She was really nice about it but firm. It made me think “poor fella, this is Friday night, he was probably planning that all week.” And I remembered one time when I was young, inexperienced and on the receiving end of a jilting. Had a vision, commenced drawing, and here we are. The process I’ve tried to illustrate is mentioned here at one minute in and I’ll explain it like this; / Words as sounds come into the ear, are translated into sensory information and fed to the brain. The brain must then reference the signals with a concept it has already stored to derive the meaning. This is the memory retrieval phase. The sensory input is represented by the blender which breaks down the info into the reference numbers of the memories needed to construct and the relevant ones are pulled in by a programmable electromagnet. One concept can often pull in thirty or forty memories, here I only have five. Ever wondered what Britney would sound like if she used her powers for good instead of evil? / I’ve been listening to this dude a lot while I was creating this. He’s a fine upstanding young man from Israel who is advancing society quite nicely and we need more people like him. Inspiring stuff. ‘But hail thou Goddess, sage and holy / Hail divinest Melancholy / Whose saintly visage is too bright / To hit the sense of human sight / And therefore to our weaker view / O’erlaid with black, staid Wisdom’s hue.’ / - from ‘Il Penseroso’ by John Milton Model: Skye Motorazr V9 mobile phone camera / Photoshop CS4
Layered from my own images. O – this is another “naturally colour toned” image… Using a macro of the inside of an oyster shell. I really like this concept ;) The textures and tones should come up better LARGE :)
This is part three and it is one of the final stages of healing where heavy obstacles are lifted and removed to be transformed. This work is also inspired by my brain tumour and the healing light that warms my life and hopes.

So i spent a few days at Coles Bay national park 2 weeks ago, i haven’t been there in a fair few years but i had the most amazing time, i pretty much had the whole place to myself , camping on two different beaches each side of the peninsula, there were no other campers and only a few day walkers. I’ve never been so relaxed, the weather was perfect, wildlife amazing and water just warm enough for a swim. This is on Wineglass bay just after sunset. This beach has been ranked in the top 10 in the world..oh yes:)

Please have a look at our Obama section below. We want to chronicle this significant event in history. But there was also a new minister appointed in South Korea and a new minister for defence in Turkmenistan. The Obama section is now updated and tidied.
Ethos:
We have two hosts who are diametrically opposed in their spiritual beliefs and who have become friends over a period of time in RB. The science Vs religion debate is raging around the world right now and we can’t solve it so we wanted to create a place where both sides can coexist through something common, a love of art. And to promote both science and religion without putting either down. Nobody is wrong here.
We’re for those who are passionate about their religion and their science, and this is not the place for debate between the two camps (or any camps)
We would like all art to have either the theme of religion or science but its not absolute, if you have something cool you’d like to show us all we’ll have it. We do like when people explain their work also.
And obviously anybody fucking around will be cautioned and/or booted out
and bad language is allowed, (its Irish custom) but no being nasty to anybody’s God or son of God or pantheon of Gods or whatever. Any inflammatory remarks concerning anybody’s passion or deeply held beliefs will not be tolerated.
