/ if it doesn’t belong / Of Noble Birth / fantastic Primitive Art / Pets and People / Creative Cards / Fantastic Primitive Art This is a portrait of my iguana, Mikie, (my tropical recused pet). I was granted permission to bring Mikie to art class, she is quite big and more than a few students were scared of her. Wimps, lol. Thus, at last, she did not get to stay in the class. I had to take her to the small empty gallery. I refused to leave her there alone so I stayed and drew this. Another student came and started to draw her too. / the drawing was done in soft chalk pastel on black paper. It took about 20- 45 min. to draw. Mikie girl sat so still, just like a poser. LOL she held her hand up like that the whole time. She was a good girl and a wonderful subject. Soon the instructor brought in another teacher to see her. They were amazed at all her bright colors. I explained that she has so much color because she is an apex lizard, and I take great care of her. Most females are not nearly as big and colorful as Mikie is! I had given this to my good friend and Mikie’s godmother, Dana. She and her husband had moved out of state, so it kind of looks like Mikie is waveing bye-bye. / / Copyright / These Images and Writings Do Not Belong To ANY Public Domain. Psalm 8 / :1 LORD our GOD, how excellent is your name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. / :2 Out of the mouth of babes and infants you have ordained majesty because of your enemies, that you silence the enemy and the avenger. / :3 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained; / :4 What is man, that you art mindful of him? and the son of man, that you care for him? / :5 For you have made him a little lower than the angels, and have crowned him with glory and honor. / :6 You made him to have dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet: / :7 All flocks and herds, yea, and the beasts of the field; / :8 The BIRDS of the air, and the fish of the sea, all that swim through the paths of the seas. / :9 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth. I discovered a wonderful book of coastal nautical photos, from 1850 – 1920. The long Eastern coast of England, from the Scottish border, down to the inlet of The Wash, at Norfolk. So I now have targets – and a new series imminent! This one is Berwick (on the Scottish border) from the Victorian era of early photos. The drifter on the left is the ‘Iona’, next to it without sail, is the ‘Nellie Wilson’, and the boat with the chimney, is the paddle steam tug, ‘Black Prince’. / in the background, is the old Berwick Bridge. 7”x8” Watercolour on 200lb Hannemuhle paper.
Original digital painting, not an altered or manipulated photograph. Hand-painting using Microsoft Paint and a mouse.
Acrylic painting designed for a local aura reader for an upcoming event. Rainbows have so much wonderful symbolism – though I admit to having cheated a little on the colours!

A week and a half ago I was forced to take a leave of absence due to a hernia of the stomach which is due to heavy lifting at work. A doctor gave me a profile that restricted me from doing any kind of work, other then sitting in a chair. So now I am sitting home out of work. I need a operation to fix the hernia, but I have to wait for two week until My company’s insurance investigates, and finds it to be work related. Then when they are done their investigation, then I can set up the operation. In the mean time I am not allowed to make any money,to support my self. So please pray that God will help all involved to come to a quick conclusion. Pray that I will be able to get this operation soon as possible , and recover quickly. And that I will get taken back to work. Pray that I will be able to meet my financial needs. Pray for peace of mine while I go through these troubled waters. I thank you for holding me up in prayer , For I don’t know how I will make it unless the hand of God will provide. Stephen J. Vattimo 11/6/2009
