/ in the group Live Love and Dream November 5 2009 / In the group Extreme Closeups November 6 2009 I was at my mom’s yesterday and there were a few of her roses that hadn’t succumbed to the frosts yet and so I thought I would take advantage of that fact and capture some of that beauty that will soon be resting during the winter for its next life season. So between now and then I’ll have some photography of the beautiful roses in her garden! Taken November 3, 2009 /

I never seem to tire of photographing these tiny blue flowers…a little native grass orchid, FNQ, Australia / Macro with Canon PowerShot A480 as is, from camera. 1:1 FEATURED in Flowers In Macro Group / My Bubblesite Gallery
l discovered this very tiny purple flower while walking our dogs they were growing in a sunny patch and appear to be some type of perennial does anyone know what they are each stem had at least 6 flowers or more and were only about 1/2 cm in diameter!
I’ve had this Christmas Cactus plant for 18 years and it’s never bloomed at Christmas! Today,Nov.7th., there’s at least 40 blooms already out or on the way, and probably twice that many yet to come. And it blooms usually 3 times a year, sometimes in the middle of summer. I’ve never followed the prescribed methods of caring for it, just give it water and plant food now and then, and it seems to be quite happy. The blooms are very soft and delicate, with very faint “fuzz” along the edges which makes it look like soft focus. / November 7,2009, Fuji S100FS camera, 1/25 sec. F 2.9, ISO 400,Focal length 7.8 mm. / /
Featured Work / / This is the actual colour of the rose. There is no enhancement whatsoever. It is so stunning to view and has the most wonderful scent. /
