Our little chihuahua, Casper, was rummaging through his trunk today when he found this image of his Great-Uncle Casperson, as a boy, for whom he was named. I immediately thought to share it with you all! A bit of playful editing, in the style of these two talented artists, Martine Roch and my dear friend, Karen Scrimes both of whom have inspired the idea behind this image. The original vintage image was provided by lorivintage55 here This image featured in the group Graphic Editing 101 in June 2009. Thanks from Great-Uncle Casperson and me!

Much Better Full Size! I love it when the titles I think up can work as double entendres. In this case this gorgeous empty barn … and the farm itself, I guess … do seem to be Finished … cloned off to the left rear is a housing development. It could also refer to the job of plowing and seeding … which, unless these are weeds (are they?) is Finished. But the title also refers to the fact that I’ve mucked around with this shot so much … and it has so many names in my computer (I tend to try to include what processes I used on a shot in its name) ... that last night when I did this version, the only thing I put to the end of the loooooong image name … was … “Finished.” And so, it stuck!! Original image taken just up the road from our house on April 6 of ‘09 in Montgomery County, Maryland, with the Nikon D40x and the 18-200mm vr Nikon/Nikkor lens. Photoshop cloning out of distractions and 2 duplicates created, Photomatix HDR from a single, hand-held image, dups at -/+2 eval, Photoshop for the addition of a texture, then into Paint for some blending.

Lost Hearts by JohnAllmark
In a field of young wheat, I saw these two solitary poppies sitting between the tracks laid down by farm machinery. For whatever reason, the title of the ghost story ‘Lost Hearts’ by Montague Rhodes James, (1862 – 1936), provost of King’s College, Cambridge and of Eton popped into my thoughts. Digitally altered in PS/CS2, image and textures my own

This is NOT a place for fractal art, abstract art, patterns, self-portraits, HDR, writing, journals and most of all “happy snaps” of your family, pets, holidays etc. There are other groups for all of these forms of art.
_Work added to this group must have significant graphic editing. Changing the colour, hue, tone, brightness, cropping, adding text, borders or applying just a texture or basic Photoshop filters or plug-ins does not = graphic editing._If it’s not obvious than tell us what you did to graphically alter it in the description.
MOST IMPORTANTLY Redbubble is about uploading your BEST creative work. So is this group, so your work should have some artistic merit to be accepted to this group.
