Carlos Alberto Garcia’... “Love is repaid with love / To love without bounds / is to love without limits, / Being near you…. / is being away from me, / Your heart is part of mine, / your breath is my breath, / My soul will forever be / your spirit of creation. Do not forget with hatred / For hatred will turn against you / Do not forget out of caprice, / Because it will defeat you, / Do not think I do not love you, / Because it is not true, / Do not laugh in fear / Because it will turn to tears / Love in the sunlight, in the moonlight, / Do not forget that I was, / I am and will always be / the one who owns your love”…. song of Malaga .....

Here Without You” A hundred days have made me older / Since the last time that I saw your pretty face / A thousand lies have made me colder / And I don’t think I can look at this the same / But all the miles that separate / Disappear now when I’m dreaming of your face I’m here without you baby / But you’re still on my lonely mind / I think about you baby / And I dream about you all the time / I’m here without you baby / But you’re still with me in my dreams / And tonight it’s only you and me Lyrics from “Here Without You” / 3 Doors Down /
I originally shot this same image several years ago with my point and shoot. I called the original Still and Deep. / Last week I returned but with my Leica and caught the sun rising as I was leaving California. / Leica V-Lux 1. From my collection: / Reflections of Beauty / Clouds and Sky Reflections / Chena River Lakes / North Pole Alaska As you view this beautiful reflection you may understand why I love this lake so much. The water is teeming with fish and wildlife, it is virtually crystal clear, pure and pristine and on calm days in summer, which are frequent, it reflects the sky like a mirror. It may be difficult to imagine that in deep dark winters, this lake is frozen and you may see people actually driving their trucks out onto the lake to set up tents, build a fire, carve deep holes in the surface and ice fish. This is Chena River Lakes , a beautiful 260 acre lake near North Pole Alaska. The Kaw Tribe, formerly known as the Kansa (or Konza) at one time stretched over 20 million acres across northern Kansas into Nebraska and Missouri. In 1825, a treaty was signed by the Kanza Tribe in which the Tribe “agreed” to sell a large portion of its land base and relocated to a reservation near present day Topeka, Kansas. The Kansa lived a semi-nomadic life, depending primarily on buffalo hunting and some farming for their food. They obtained social prestige and honor only in combat, and their chiefs were chosen for bravery and wisdom. The culture of the Kansa was that of the Plains people of the central United States. Typical of the Plains culture area, adolescent boys underwent a puberty rite known as the vision quest-a period of isolation meant to invoke supernatural images. Religious beliefs were centered around spirits associated with nature. Highly developed burial customs were followed; the body was placed in a shallow grave with food, clothing, and other needs for the afterlife. By 1840 the lands of the Kansa had been acquired by the United States government and incorporated into the so-called Indian Territory, to which many Native Americans were being removed. In 1846, the Kaw numbering about 1,600, signed another treaty and moved southwestward near what is known today as Council Grove, Kansas Kanza ~ Kaw Nation Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi

.. Beauty’ / Your lips, your eyes, your soul / Are like a work of art, / The most creative thing of all / Is your beautiful heart. / If you were a painting, / No colours could express / The beauty deep inside you, / A rainbow, nothing less. / If you were a sculpture / The clay could hardly make / Your figure of an angel / Without one mistake. / If you were a euphony / No choir could really sing / All the beautiful music / Your eyes could possibly bring. / So here I am, an artist, / With inspiration beyond belief / But to capture such rare beauty, / I’d have to be a thief. / - Zlata S.
