I found this sand dollar in Panama City Beach FL, last November 2007. and I spent weeks thinking about how to portray it so that the size could be appreciated. I pulled alll the shiny pennies from my change jar. It didn’t look right on top of Lincoln’s bust, so it is the only penny upside down. When go you outside the border of things and do things a little bit daring, Nature sometimes has the most wonderful suprises. Like when I stuck my head inside a Prikley Pear Blossum, this one very content Bumblebee had it all to himselve. I love Macro you get to see more of what you normally would not normally see with the naked eye. If you look closely you can see all the Bumblebees apendages and the pollen on him. He was so content he was blissfully unaware I was there with my camera, but I was not going to push my luck, took my photo and left him too his business. Photo taken bu Canon IXUS

The Khanda is one of most important symbols of Sikhism alongside the Ik Onkar. The khanda is like a “coat of arms’ for Sikhs. It became known as the Sikh National anthem, “Deh Shiva Bar Mohe” as the emblem of the Khalsa. It is an amalgam of three symbols, represented by three different items. It is commonly found on the Nishan Sahib or flag of the Sikhs, anywhere in a Gurudwara. There are three different items used in a Khanda, which also have a symbolic meaning: 1. A double-edged sword called a Khanda in the centre / 2. A Chakkar which is circular / 3. Two single-edged swords, or kirpans, are crossed at the bottom and sit on either side of the Khanda and Chakkar. They represent the two characteristics, one being Miri (Temporal power) and the other, Piri (Spirituality). In the symbol the sword to the left represents truth, and the sword to the right represents the willingness to fight for what is right- dharma (religion). The circle in the middle means that there is only one God, never beginning and never ending. This image was Captured at Golden Temple. / Canon 40D / Lens Canon 17-85mm.

One of my favorite quotes. God is in the Details / “Just as the Lord knows all of His vast creations, / He also knows each in any crowd / ~indeed, He knows and loves each and all mankind” / Elder Neal A. Maxwell of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

Wow our little group here is growing by the day! I suppose ALL groups have a little speel about what the conditions and guidelines are when joining this group but well i only have a couple of things to say to you guys.
Firstly don’t feel shy about things and if you have questions ect that you want answered about the group or anything in general please don’t hesitate to ask i love talking and answering questions so its no problem at all. If you feel like your a hindrance trust me when i say i have all the time in the world to sit and trawl through any queries you wonderful people may have.
Secondly this group is primarily for images that have been rejected from other groups or don’t fit any of the barriers of normality, well things that blow those things to smithereens, the wild, wacky and zany images youve been too afraid to show or keep locked up in a safe but most of all its just to have fun and enjoy showing off the most random of photos, art and clothing for all fellow red bubblers to see and enjoy.
Remember if you have any questions, comments or problems just ask =]
Mika is on a leave for school untill furthur notice…if you need any help in the group you can bubblemail LeighAth
LeighAth also hosts the group called Let’s Pay Homage so if you need help there feel free to ask. :)
