Just trying new things sometimes gives something realy surprising…..experimenting is so much fun, you’ll never know what you’re gone get…. :)) / The making of that image is so simple, with Picasa I put the two pics together, one of a macro shot of bark without cropping and a portrait of my boyfriend listenning to his friends sitting at the patio table.I darked arround a little and that’s it.I didn’t have to do ajustment for the eye and the ear,it’s like the two pics were meant to fit together… :))) / I sold a matted print on the 29 th of november 08 to an unknown bubbler and that image was edited in the book “Gaïa the living planet” Same processing as Torn / When I did that image I thought about how menkind should be more united with the earth ,to feel renewed by the the contact of nature to become a better individuaL,TO BECOME A FREE THINKER.As long as we are trying to control the earth nothing good will come out of it,I often thought that we should be more like trees who are the lungs of our beautiful planet. / My friend C.C Arshagra wrote a wonderful poem inspired by this image,C.C realy understood what I felt when I named that piece. / That poem is called The Free Thinker would.. /
“Coping with the Pain” – Is a piece I did inspired by Hearing that I wasn’t going to be able to attend college another semester ….I was accepted …they love my work and personality…it was just a money issue… I broke in tears while on the phone… Last time I cried like that was when my grandmother died – back in 2003 / The picture mostly is this: / -the fetuses inside my head REPRESENT – the many unborn ideas that will not be able to see life / The announcement of the news was like taking all that life and aborting it… / -The heart with the fuel guage on empty …depicts simply how my heart felt / -And the many mouths that scream with piercing agony show how my soul yelled within / .... / charcoal, graphite, colorpencil / on 18×24 drawing paper My therapy to get over it …and move on /
With traveling so much, it is fun to stop and spend some time at the beach. No matter what world or universe it is, it is still fun. ;o) Created in Apophysis. Postwork in Photoshop. The work in photoshop was an experiment to see if I could turn a fractal into a watercolor work that could be a nearly believable landscape scene… in the fantasy world of Bunny of course. ;o) I created a layer over the original, then used several smudge and natural media David Nagel brushes to paint the skies and soften the foreground some. I then added another layer for the adjustment layers.
A watercolor portrait with some acrylic in the background, pastels for contouring and the black lines on the bakground are sewed on the paper.
detail of my pencil on paper drawing Forty Seventh Fall (Just cropped it a bit tighter for those who Want Things More Intense.) (grin) AND, for those brave enough, I have a deconstructed view of her for your chest. Go to my T-shirts / to find this: /
This is the design I used for a t-shirt I posted yesterday. Someone expressed interest in a print of this design, so here it is! :) Enjoy!
Republished 11-09. Digital collage inspired by the wolf packs that howl at night near my home. I see lone wolves sometimes late at night running across the field behind my house. Coyotes come up closer, right to the back door, searching for food. I live in an area rich in beautiful wildlife which inspires my art and writing and uplifts my spirits each day. :) This work has been FEATURED in the Wolves in Art group AND in the Digital Art Compilations group!
Here is something I have never done before, used photos from istock (water) and the public domain (Poseidon & Sounion Temple) to create an image I wanted. I wanted to make this as a base for another work, so before it turns into Atlantis, here’s Poseidon’s Temple.
Originally entitled New Years Eve Colored Burst was designed and created on 12/31/06 at midnight to celebrate the new year of ‘07 at the time, was fun to do. Apophysis/CS
