Oil Painting inspired by my days as a volunteer firefighter. Something we face every Summer in Australia. In some areas you can live in constant fear of the threat of fire. Not sure if I’ve finished this one yet, but hey, I’ll give it a run. Two of the prime objectives of a fire fighting organisation is to protect life and protect property. Here the characters are endeavouring to do both without a thought that they are putting their own lives at risk. *ALL PROFITS FROM THIS WORK WILL BE DONATED TO VICTORIAN BUSHFIRE APPEAL**
On the road to Barmer, we passed many small beautifull villages , in one i really like to stop cause the houses where amazingly decorated. While i was making some photos this men walked towards me and tried to see what i was doing. he stood next to me for maye 10 minutes, it was really funny cause he just stood there. For me he was pure beauty. Rajahstan, India

My first painting in over two years…my pastel drawings and photography became front and center as of late…I actually found my brushes had cob webs! / But true to form, I return to western art as it a subject that I feel comfortabe with and was a good way to help get me back in the groove. / This is a 24”X28” oil and acrylic painting. / Painted on Gallery Wrapped Linen Portrait Canvas / Thanks for viewing my art.

Well, he looks a little like a young Gandalf. Doesn’t he? Except for the tweed, of course. Taken at a Viking festival at Elvaston Castle in Derbyshire in May 2006.

portrait of John Dean… As White House Counsel to U.S. President Richard Nixon from 1970 to 1973, Dean became deeply involved in events leading up to the Watergate burglaries and the subsequent cover up, even referred to as “master manipulator of the cover up” by the FBI. He was convicted of multiple federal offenses as a result of Watergate, and went on to become the key witness for the prosecution.

A FRIEND OF MINE, THAT I’VE KNOWN SINCE I WAS A TEENAGER, STOPS BY THE HOUSE EVERY NOW AND THEN AND WE BREAK OUT THE MEDICINAL HERB AND HAVE A SMOKE. SO, WHILE I WAS PREPARING TO ROLL THE DUBIOUS DUBEY, MY FRIEND GRABBED MY KODAK EASYSHARE Z710 AND STARTED TAKING PHOTOS OF MY KIDS SITTING ON MY BED. SO, WHEN I SAW THIS SHOT, I LASSOWED IT FROM THE SHOT IT WAS ORIGINALLY IN AND CUT IT. THEN I WENT INTO MY DIGITAL ABSTRACT FILE AND PULLED UP AN IMAGE THAT STARTED OUT AS FUNGOUS ON THE SURFACE OF A POND OUT ON GRIZZLY ISLAND IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA. I PASTED THE IMAGE OF ME AND MY KIDS IN A POSSITION THAT IT ACTUALLY FIT WITH THE BACKGROUND IMAGE. I DON’T OFTEN GET SHOTS LIKE THIS OF ME AND MY KIDS, BECAUSE I’M USUALLY THE ONE BEHIND THE CAMERA AND TO SET UP THE CAMERA WITH A SHUTTER TIMER, I DON’T ALWAYS GET THE IMAGE I WANT AND BY THE TIME I’VE TAKEN 4 OR 5 TRIES, I’M EXHAUSTED SO I GIVE UP. BUT, I COULDN’T RESIST THIS SHOT BECAUSE, “CHEWY IS SO AFFECTIONATE”, HE LOVES HIS ATTENTION, GETTING AND GIVING. WHEN I GIVE THEM TREATS AND I ASK CHEWY IF HE LOVES ME, HE LEANS FORWARD AND GIVES ME A LITTLE PECK ON THE LIPS OR NOSE. AT LEAST HE KEEPS BIG SLOPY TONGUE LICKS TO A MINIMUM. CHEWY IS A 75% SIBERIAN, 25% TIMBER WOLF AND SASHA IS A MIX OF BLACK LAB AND GERMAN SHEPHERD. CHEWY WILL GET TO BE ABOUT 80 POUNDS BY THE TIME HE IS FULLY GROWN, RIGHT NOW HE IS ONLY 20 MONTHS OLD. SASHA IS ALREADY OVER 4 YEARS OLD AND SHE DIDN’T GET BIG AT ALL. IN FACT, SHE STAYED SMALL FOR THE BREED DOGS THAT SHE IS. I THINK SHE MAY HAVE BEEN THE RUNT OF THE LITTER. BUT, THAT’S OK, HER SIZE HASN’T STOPPED HER FROM DOING THE SAME THINGS CHEWY DOES,,,,EXCEPT FOR MAYBE JUMPING UP ONTO THEIR DESK. SHE USES A RAMP, UNTIL I MOVE IT SO SHE WON’T SIT ON THE DESK AND BARK AT PASSING CATS. SHE GOES NUTS WHEN SHE SEES CATS,,,,I MEAN N. U. T. S., NUTS.
This is Knotheads Dad . We dont let Knothead use the saw. I thought the photo was pretty good to be just a quick snapshot.
2007 Bas-relief (carving of wood-pine) the inset. The Guitar I used my carpentry skills to form a guitar shape for the inset Bas-relief which is notched in the back so it is flush. I then painted with Acrylic paints like a regular Acrylic Painting and varnished, lots of fun. size 4” deep x 70×21” at wide end
