Mt. Fitzwilliam is a massive and dominant sight as one travels through Mt. Robson Provincial Park on the Yellowhead Highway in British Columbia,Canada. The main bulk of the mountain(2907m (9538ft),looks even bigger because it stands fairly aloof from any of the nearby Rockies, rising up from a vast panorama of forest. / Sept. 4, 2009, / Sony DSCF828 camera Featured in “Nature’s Wonders”

Alstroemeria commonly called the Peruvian Lily or Lily of the Incas, is a South American genus of about 50 species of flowering plants. Almost all of the species are restricted to one of two distinct centres of diversity, one in central Chile, the other in eastern Brazil. Species of Alstroemeria from Chile are winter-growing plants while those of Brazil are summer-growing. All are long-lived perennials except (Taltalia) graminea, a diminutive annual from the Atacama Desert of Chile. / Panasonic FZ20
