  • White on white by richardseah

I went to the Sungei Buloh wetlands reserve recently and wrote that I ended up taking mostly photographs of spiders in the forest. What a pleasant surprise for me to discover that I actually caught a bird in flight. And it was quite a well-composed image, I must say. Only problem… it was an over-cast day – in fact, it drizzled slightly for a while – and the sky did not look good. So I brightened the sky and made it white for a high key, somewhat “zen” effect. Sungei Buloh. Singapore. December 2008 / —

  • Snow Squall by LoisBryan

I got to drive up to the mountain last week, December 31st, ‘08 … and when I drive, I love to take all kinds of side roads. The day I discovered Jackson’s Mill Bridge, I promised myself to come back and take a closer look at the countryside. As I pulled up to this field to admire the setting sun a snow squall came up and quickly flurried the landscape. This shot was taken just as the first flakes fell. They had to be photoshopped off the lens, lol!!! Hope you enjoy the view!! Image taken with the Nikon D40x, using the 18-200mm VR lens. Located just outside of Breezewood, Pennsylvania.
