1999. oil on panel. 30cm x 20cm. / Celtic insired ladies meet by the sea. Their sea shell hats were just an idea I had but as it turns out, pilgrims long ago used to wear shells on their coats when they sailed off to new lands..probably as a symbol of sea travelling..? / A happy coincidence anyway!
Oil Painting I did this painting with lots of glazing and was amazed at the intensity of the colours. I have not manipulated this in the computer at all. In fact its even more brighter in real life. I saw the John Brack exhibition this week and he has inspired me to paint the people around me. I also have a facination with Edvard Munch and I think it shows through with this painting. The model is my 10 year old Jade.
This oil painting of a black boat in Rockport Harbor in New England shows a serene scene.
