When I first uploaded this image back when it was first taken I commented in my description that the title reflected where my life was heading at that time. I was in a very dark place with not much light at the end of the tunnel, but I look back now in wonder at how much difference not even a year can make. Now I sit on the verge of a new and exciting life, a new job, new friends, a second chance to make life what I want it to be and not what the darkness in me at that point would have had me believe. I am no longer heading nowhere, I am now heading somewhere, somewhere hopeful, somewhere positive, somewhere joyful, somewhere beautiful. Life is good :) —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / Image Details: Canon 350D, 18-55mm lens @ 46mm / 20 sec, f11, iso 100 / ND400 filter / Levels/Curves/BW conversion in PS / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- 100% of the profit from the sale of my images on Red Bubble will go to supporting research done by the Black Dog Institute into Bipolar Disorder and Depression. my original impression was to turn this to a monotone and it looks good that way, there is a lot of contrast in the sky, water and shadows. But the colour of the evening is lost, that desaturation made by the long shadows as the lowering sun makes it’s influence known. olympus e410 / zuiko digital 1:2.8/25mm pancake prime.
