This painting was done years ago, is watercolor on illustration board, and hung in the San Diego art show. The big deal for me at the time is that, for some reason, Karen Berger, editor of DC’s Vertigo imprint, saw it and liked it. And, bigger than that, she found me, and brought my idol, Dave McKean, over to look at it. I can’t remember his reaction…probably something like ‘big whoop’ in some british vernacular.

About This Group
This group is by invitation only. It is for hardcore comic buffs, meaning people who LOVE to read, write and draw comics from all over be it underground, popular, detective, crime, superhero, manga, whatever else.
People who paint or draw in graphic novel or comic style ARE aslso welcomed.
In this group we will be doing art and writing together at times, sharing stories and ideas for comics and graphic novel-style presentation.
We mostly will be working with ORIGINAL ideas and art.
This group will be following copyright laws very closely.
ORIGINAL fan fic based writings and art may be shared here as well but ONLY comic book stuff. I have another group that is for other fan stuff here at RB called FAN FRENZY, and it is open to anyone.
