Early Ford V-8 Club / 2009 Car Show & Swap Meet / Spokane, WA, Fairgrounds I’ve always loved 58 Impalas, even before American Graffiti. This one was black & white & chrome all over, a beauty. The reflection, which always catches my eye, shows more of the many sweet rides at this show, not least of which is that big ‘ol grinning Mercury.
A lovely way to spend a summer Saturday. Featured in Reflectivity. Thank you! Top 10 in The Scavenger Hunt Let’s Find Some Reflections Challenge. Thank you!

There is a boat in Gouvia marina [Corfu] which has a cover over it and the cover is weighted down by water bottles.
Our friend was getting married and had an offical photographer, but asked me if I would take some candid shots whilst everyone was getting ready. She said she wanted something a bit more “unusual”! Anyway I caught her checking herself out in the mirror in the hallway and then added some filters – and voila! Strangely enough she really loves it! Especially the part where her reflection stayed skin tone- No accounting for taste eh?
A window shutter reflection in a cup of coffee god morning coffee – taste of paradise / a look, a smile, my connection to the past, to the future… more than the ritual. a way of life. FEATURED IN The Woman Photographer / also FEATURED IN GROUP Love is a Many Splendoured Thing . .What Coffee means to you? / I am a horrible “Coffee Snob” in that I am very particular about my coffee and I take it quite seriously (I know, I need to get a life). I am always being adventurous and trying new types of coffee, from various regions of the world. My favorites are generally from New Guinea or Indonesia, but I also enjoy coffees from Africa and Central America. I order my coffees to be mailed to me on a regular basis from my favorite coffee roaster, Peets. Most places I go just do not measure up, because my coffees are so much better at home. Do you imagine you life with out Coffee? / I can imagine life without coffee, and it would be a sad, less enjoyable existence. I look forward to my regular delivery of coffee, and I would miss that…..... . .

Whilst staying with friends in Painswick, Gloucestershire, in England, I was asked to photograph some of the rooms for them as reminders of this lovely home, as they were due to be moving back to America soon. I decided to put a couple of the rooms here in my RB portfolio. This is shot is of our friends’ daughter’s room who is away at school. Our daughter stayed in her room whilst visiting for a few days. This is the second photo of this room I have put up. I love the view from this room, looking across the valley and countryside. I managed to get the bed in the mirror’s reflection. There is just something so romantic about a room with such a beautiful view, like something that might be portrayed in a period drama. This is a HDR image combining 7 bracketed shots using Photomatix Pro for Macs. Slight adjustments in lighting and tone were done using the enhanced details tool. I have left the image with its warm lighting unadjusted. As HDR images go, this is “As Is.” Canon EOS-1Ds Mark ll / 17-35mm wide angle zoom lens / f/7.1 / 1/2000, 1/1250, 1/250, 1/125, 1/60, 1/30, 1/15 / ISO 400
Reflection of the Excalibur Hotel in the tower of the Luxor Hotel. I saw that while I was coming into Luxor. I thought it could be a nice shot. And it was. Las Vegas, NV May 2009
This group’s Reflectivity IS NOT:
Lake reflections, ocean reflections, pond reflections or sunset feflections.
A person or persons posed in reflective thought.
Manipulated / photoshopped created reflections.
An enlightening moment of reflection pertaining to a concept such as the immenseness or granduer of planet earth.
A photo where the reflection is just a MINOR element of the overall picture.
The standard sunset and landscape reflection in a lake shot that an be found virtually anywhere. There are plenty of other groups for those photos, go post there.
Paintings or other artwork, this is a photography group.
What this Reflectivity IS:
A creative eye capturing a reflection in a unique manner.
Said reflection, if not the main focus, is a MAJOR component of the photo, the reflection must be what makes the picture, not just one of many elements.
Creative perspectives and reflections out of the ordinary.
This group focuses on unusual reflectivty shots. Photos taken from curious and unique perspectives, where a sharp eye and a creative mind find that special reflection. Standard lake/pond/ocean reflections will NOT be accepted unless truely unique.
Reflections can come from all sorts of sources; mirrors, hubcaps, windows, glass and some you just stumble across. This group features photos and artwork where the reflection is a major component of the image.
If I reject your work don’t take it personally. I routinely see amazing and wonderful works, but if they do not fully meet this groups clearly defined guidelines, it will get bounced.
