As part of Soxy Fleming’s gallivant across the East Coast, i met up with her and Fleur at Juilee Pryor’s So engrossed were we in conversation, and the delight of trading stories and connections, the only photographic evidence i have is a series of photographs taken by my 4yr old son, who’s extraordinary imagery resulted in this collage I’ll keep the self portraits of his nasal cavity, and his floor, leg, and bottom series for another time….best to keep them guessing, i say!
The beautifully talented Mrswillow posted a gorgeous painting drawing my poetry from me! / The deep russets and browns highlighted by the golden beauty of my favourite fruit! / ‘September Pear’ / Enjoy! ♥

In response to a news article today about a guy finding frog remains in his can of drink. Ugh! Inspired by my response to yet another bad @LEIGHSALES pun on Twitter!

/ Half coloured, thank you to gottheshot friend and fellow bubbler for the idea! / I have also a softer pink version, I would really appreciate some feedback as to which version you like the best, thank you :) / / / Original drawing, please note the actual rainbow that appeared on the drawing from light coming in through the trees outside the window of my studio, hence her name…. Bramble Rainbowtree…. she throws her arms skyward reaching to the heavens above… spots, stripes, flowers and streamers are added to convey the celebration and joyfulness in her spontaneous gesture…. ...Little Bramble Rainbowtree began as a little pencil drawing inspired by my beautiful niece Maya, who has the longest hair ever! This so reminds me of her, except that Maya’s hair is much more beautiful and much darker in colour. ...I have coloured Bramble Rainbowtree digitally, I hope you like this special fairy :) ...a great little vintage design for big and little girls, friends, birthdays, gifts, bedroom decor, nursery walls, etc.

Just out testing my new 35-350 L lens. The weather hasn’t been that great here over in Perth over the last couple days, but I did manage to get a break in the clouds to shoot this sunset at some nearby farmlands near where I live. EOS 500D. Featured In: Riginals.

I was shooting at North beach on a windy afternoon and there was allot of sea spray around along the coastline between North Beach and Scarborough Beach due to the heavy swell. This resulted in my filter getting really misty, to the point where the final photos I took during this shoot resembled those of a lens with a soft focus filter attached! Unfortunately I didn’t notice it while shooting, and allot of my photos were ruined, but I liked the way this shot turned out, It has a nice dreamy appearance. Let me know what you think about it. just for something totally different…. a snap of a tiny house somewere in Newtown in Sydney and it completely covered in graffiti…. which is not so strange in this part of town. Random urban beautification squads roam the streets looking for shabby inner city terraces to tidy up with some street art. I love that about Newtown. :)
part of a series/collection of images taken during my long days spent at hospitals this summer… (well… i had to shoot something while grabbing cigs)
the essence of pathos and the embodiement of optimisim….. I was driving by and stopped at the lights approaching King street Newtown and I saw this little urban vingette and I just couldn’t resist… quick as a flash I had the old camera out of my handbag and got one frame off before the lights changed or the would be athlete saw me… maybe this is a bit cruel but I find it quite touching to be honest

As inspired by Adriana I’ve taken the first step outside my comfort zone – self portraits. #3 in “Imperfections” series. Canon EOS 450D : 1/50sec : f/2 : ISO640 : 50mm Photoshop : Blown Highlights and Toning. / Blur created in-camera.
....I can play too. Canon 450D + 50mm f/1.8
another ledgendary Newtown mural on the side of a terrace house. A comment on contemporary culture and a vibrant bit of street art. Sadly this mural while still on the wall has been built out and is no longer visible. Lucky I’ve got the photo’s hey….
well just like it says in the title this is a closer view of this old and forgotten mural on Erskinville Road Newtown…from the vaults of time and annals of history comes this image…. it now longer exists having be redecorated out of existence by the new owners of the building. Still it was up for a few years which is pretty good for street art. / . / That’s my Dad my sister and my three lads checking it out… back in the day hey…..:) / . /
an unknown graffitti artist greets me as I arrive at the Graffitti Hall of Fame in the inner city industrial area of Alexandria. This is the place were I shot ‘Spirit of Sydney’! allthough I used a different model for that particular shot. ...:) / . /
This was a legendary tribute mural to Miles Davis…. on the wings of a song ….. and was part of the extraordinary street art life of Newtown at a particular time. And thats me lounging about on someone else’s gold Rolls Royce…. This car has made an appearance in a few of my photo’s most notabley Spirt of Sydney! The car belonged to a Mr Tony Spanos Esq who owned and operated the Graffitti Hall of Fame in Alexandria in gritty industrial inner city Sydney…... One of the most eccentric and amazingly arts focused multi millonares I’ve ever met thats for sure….. King of Doof and lover of Graffitti and all around champion of the arts especially if it was a bit cheeky…... Anyway when Newtown started to get a bit gentrifyed a few years back the tidy town people painted it out despite it being one of the most popular and enduring murals around at the time….. such a shame…. / . /
