Image captured in semi-closeup mode at a friends place in Oceanside, CA. I loved the contrast of the blooming fronts spiraling to the straight lines of the leaf. And the snails gathered added a muted contrast as well. / Post processed Photoshop: used native filters, the Orton Effect and outside filters including Fractalius. There was a time I wanted to give this to the staff at Sears, but decided to hold on to it, currently I got the original design framed in case I do future public art displays at Starbucks again, so far due to the issues here in NYC. I’m not sure what I’m going to do, but will say that it works better as a card design or other, idk. Apophysis 2.06 I think, idk this was around 2007, CS, this version used CS3 since this is part of a jewel series now. I never design lame crap, sheeeeeeesh. L8ter.

Not something I am too completely happy with, but it was also my first crack at using multiple programs to achieve the final result. A big thank you to areid who composed a fast tutorial for me to use Adobe Illustrator to make the boxes you can barely see. The rest was completed using Ultra Fractal 5.02 over 8 layers, Standard Julia, Rational Newton (Julia), for the background; with an applied and softened Lake mapping for 3d. Hearts created in pixel (JP), Image Import tool, For imported Illustrator boxes, colored, textured, and masked in UF. Please, take a moment to find the real video, as I worked to use the flowers early on in the video; down to the black stalks. This video does feature the mannequins created by Alex Grey used for the Album cover. (www.alexgrey.com) I am going to attempt to make a less abstract version of this piece, once I can figure out how to make the flowers used on the Single cover.
