Mmmmm… / So it’s that time of the year again when we all have lots of easter eggs… So I use them to make a sinfully delicious mud cake! Mud Cake 500g dark chocolate / 125g butter / 6 eggs / 1/4 cup plain flour 1. Pre-heat oven to 200c. Line a 22cm springform tin with baking paper or foil. / 2. Melt chocolate and butter together in a saucepan over a gentle heat, or microwave on medium power, until melted. / 3. Place eggs in a separate bowl, place over a saucepan of simmering water, and beat on a medium speed with an electric mixer for 10 minutes. Gently fold a little of the egg into the melted chocolate and butter, then continue with the remaining egg. Lightly fold in flour. / 4. Pour mixture into the prepared tin and bake for 15 minutes (the cake will still be very moist and the top will be crisp but should not be burnt). Remove immediately from the oven and allow to cool. Transfer cake in the tin to the refrigerator and chill overnight. Taken: Canon 50D w/ 50mm (f/1.8)

The quote below is from the blog of an artist called John Unger who is actually being sued by a manufacturer who stole his work and is making knock offs that he sells around the country..I’ve been following the story which is really appalling…I know that many of us are not in a position to help him, but you may know someone who can afford his art which is being sold at great discounts to help him fight his case..the artist sold his work on line much like we do…put yourself in his place…what would you do? Please tweet this post, or add a link to this page in your journal or face book and myspace etc….. “I believe his goal is to use strong-arm litigation tactics to force me to keep spending money or risk losing my copyrights — not by true adjudication, but by default if he is able to outspend me”. for the whole story click HERE Please also read the comments….they are very eye opening, especially the one about the woman who bought art and then had them mass produced and resold
don’t be afraid, they’re yummy! ;)

Ah the fabled cherry—the poetic color of luscious lips, and just as sweet. It started out in West Asia (perhaps the Persia-Armenia region) and in two varietals from which all cultivated cherries are descended: Prunus avium (sweet) and Prunus cerasus (sour). Sweet cherries had spread to Ancient Greece and the Mediterranean by 300 BCE, for Theophrastus mentions them. And Pliny the Elder (1st century AD) mentions that some 8 varieties of cherries were being cultivated in Italy—and that the Romans were spreading them as far north as Britain. The British, in turn, carried it to the New World in the 17th century (Beyond the huge crops in Michigan, California, Oregon, and Washington, American wild cherries include the chokecherry, the pin cherry, and the wild black cherry. Sour cherries have spread even farther north, and are a speciality of Germany and Scandanavia. Today it is estimated that some 900 sweet varieties (ranging in color from yellow to black) and some 300 sour varieties are being grown. Most sweet cherries will produce fruit only after they’ve been cross-pollinated—honey bees usually do the leg work, carrying pollen from a sweet cherry of another variety soupsong.com See some samples of the collection below, and view the entire collection to date, at the Bubblesite HERE / Plum Blossom with Apples and Cream / / Sour Cream Bumbleberry Tart with an Apricot Glaze / / Ginger Shortcake with Nectarines and Creme Fraiche / / Spicy Chewy Ginger Cookies / / Chocolate Cupcake with a Mocha Swirl / / Cinnamon Bun / / Scone with Berries and Cream / / Lemon curd and Blueberry Tart
