The peak of the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb. Such an incredible sight passing under the bridge in the late afternoon, to the silhouettes of the climbers all waving to us as we sailed back into Sydney on our cruise. Standing on the top deck of the ship, ‘Land Down Under’ (sung by Men At Work) playing loudly, what a truly great Aussie moment! Camera – Nikon D90 / Lens 55-200mm Textures layers added. The magnificence of Wave Rock astounded me. An amazing giant granite curl of rock that is an astonishing 2,600 million years old. I could only sit there quietly and inhale it’s ancient breath.

This is one of those places that is so spectacular in its beauty that it seems too good to be true BUT it is true. This is a ‘what you see is what you get’ type image. The scene is real, the colours are real and the contrasts are real. Thistle Cove is one of the many beautiful features of Cape Le Grand National Park. 631km south-east of Perth and 56km east of Esperance, Western Australia. The largely granite shoreline and white sand beaches is a picturesque feature of the area. The park is a used for fishing, off-roading, tourism, and hiking. Beaches within the Park include those at Lucky Bay, Rossiter Bay, Hellfire Bay, Le Grande Beach and Thistle Cove. The islands and waters to the south of the park are known as the Recherche Archipelago Nature Reserve, another protected area of the Archipelago of the Recherche and nearby coastal regions. The Cape Arid National Park is located to the east. (Wikipedia) Camera – Nikon D80; Lens – Nikon 70-200 VR zoom FEATURED IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA Framed Print /

Silverton, in far Western NSW, is a living, breathing part of Australia’s history. Even people who have never been there will recognise it, as Silverton has starred in countless films, television shows and commercials in all mediums. / Nestled in the Far West outback of New South Wales, Silverton was built by miners in search of fortune. Once a bustling home to 3,000 people, residents began to leave in the 1880s when the nearby mines of Broken Hill surfaced. Many took their houses with them. These days less than 50 people call Silverton home and only a handful of buildings dot the landscape. The town’s smaller size has not slowed it down however. Silverton offers a thriving art scene, a beautiful landscape and an accessible way to learn about the rich heritage of the region. In June the average temperature is 15 degrees Celsius. In February it is 32 degrees celsius. About 190mm of rain falls each year. This long disused railway station, situated just outside the town, is one of the many magnificent heritage structures – a reminder of the town’s prosperous past.
