Using one layer from my Giraffe stencil, I created a silhouette of the Giraffe, composing it with a distressed ‘g’. My aim with this piece was to encompass some typography with my stencil work. This was inspired by looking at letter press prints that were type/font based.

Good typography should consider the arrangement of type, the selection of typefaces, point size, line length, leading (line spacing) and letter spacing (kerning and tracking). It is not just about using type or words in your art. If you are unsure about the definition of typography then this is a good starting point.
