Dirt road into the Long Hill Gardens Estate.
Taken at La Perouse in Sydney. The long exposure on the waves and clouds end up giving this painted effect after the HDR processing. / Canon 40d
Bridge in Warsaw – “Gdański Bridge” (from the Gdańsk city’s name) build in 1959. It has two levels – one for cars and the lower one for trams. It is a bridge where every Warsaw photographer must risk his or her life once due to possibility to be run over by a tram. :XD: “Other shot of this bridge.”: http://www.redbubble.com/people/seawhisper/art/3265651-2-runaway-tram Canon 50D
The days one only dreams of…. Featured in You Magic Place group.
Dedicated to the memory of Dylan Holmes age three, I awoke yesterday morning to a bubble mail from Tereza at sea group telling me to check Davids site and that his son had died, well knock me sideways, i’ve been chatting with david about coming to New Zealand for a holiday like just this week! David use to work with me in the UK, we went to his wedding and then lost touch for the last 13 years, then last month out of the blue he finds me on RB, we have been chatting ever since. I spoke to david this morning, I’d do anything to help but what do you say, David has had several heart attacks, he’s about 35, last week his apartment was robbed, and now he has lost his son, nothing can make this right, but we can show that we care, drop by his site, he has only just started taking images, show him that our community cares. David Holmes this work is not for sale and is a collaboration piece using my dying sun image and a photograph of a an artwork that was made for my wife two years ago when they thought that I may die of cancer, this Maori work of art is Te Ra (the Sun) and was crafted by Lee watt at chamblett design (design@chamblett.co.nz) thank you to lee for permission to use this image. Ken Wright, david Holmes Friend. Our thoughts are with you David, Love from Ken and Karen.
Beautiful dreams live beyond the mysterious horizon.

Words from Aether of the Protogenoi, Greek elemental God of “upper sky” It’s a constant wonder / How we came to be / Quite this lucky / Quite this free I am the air that ye mortals don’t see / I am the air that ye mortals don’t breathe / I am the purest air served to the Gods / I am the upper sky, I am to be awed / I am upper atmosphere, I am upper space / I am upper heaven, to you I am effaced / I am the God of the bright upper glow / I am beyond what you cannot know So if you ever wonder / About what cannot be seen / Just look past the soft light / That’s where Aether will be —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- Location: Auchmithie, Angus, Scotland © Donald Cameron 2009 / Monophotography.co.uk Obviously these are not the actual words of Aether, what with him being a mythical god and all. And I’m sure if he could speak he’d have come up with something far more clever than this :) This was a return to the location of my image Dwarfed from a couple of years ago. In this shot you might recognise the cliff face and harbour wall the lone person was walking on.

Taken with a Canon 50D, Sigma 10-20 lens at 10mm, F11, shutter speed 1/60 second, ISO200, tweaked in Photoshop We went for a walk near Ambleside (English Lake District) yesterday, at the start of the walk the weather was brilliant sunshine, dark clouds gathered then cleared, sunshine appeared again then dark clouds…..all in all a typical lakeland day. As we say in Lancashire about the weather “I wish it mek its mind up” This shot is looking down Rydal water as another weather front decided to pay us a visit. Please view large!!

A day late for the final and 300 miles too far north, I couldn’t resist this shot of happy tourists sunning themselves at Tarn Hows, our local beauty spot in the heart of the English Lake District. The Tarn is somewhere downhill in front of them, I don’t think they could see it. / Sony Alpha 350 DSLR single RAW tonemapped in Photomatix / Best viewed large
