There Will Be Trouble . . . by gottheshot
Sadly, a quote from Robocop :o) / But they are the words he woulda said to me if he coulda. I had just trudged 1.6 km in heavy snow after a bullet train and local train, the 2m wide forest path with a 100m drop and very icy – one false move and. . . The first monkey I see is this one ! This is NO CROP – no edit – I was 3 metres away from him – / too close if I had ANY SENSE. :o) The rule of the Nagano Sanctuary is not to have eye contact with the monkeys. / I was doing well with the rule – until . . . / I decided to have a look around to see where the monkeys were and saw him standing on a giant waste disposal box. / He looked me straight in the eye, I clicked the shutter and he ran after me. He saw other monkeys in an argument and thankfully got sidetracked :o) / First and last time to be chased by a monkey :o) / Lesson learnt – NO EYE CONTACT.
