The Southern Oregon Coast between Brookings and Gold Beach Nikon D700, 20 mm f/2.8D Lens / Exposure: 1/320 Second / ISO: 200
Located between Brookings and Gold Beach, this is one of the most photographed places on the southern Oregon coast. It is very accessible from Highway 101, which runs along the beach, and the rocks are huge and constantly bombarded by Pacific waves. A gradual beach slope makes for long expanses of rolling waves, and the retreating waves leave wet sand that is perfect for reflections. It is a favorite spot for wind surfers, beachcombers, photographers, and sightseers. Nikon D700 with Nikon18-200 mm f/2.8 Lens @ f/10.0 / Shutter speed: 1/400th second / ISO: 200
From a 2006 hike starting at the park entrance. / Nikon D50 / Focal length: 17 / F/22 / Exposure 1/400
This is Tolavana Beach located along Route 101 in the State of Oregon. The large rock on the right side is Haystack Rock. Very popular place for people to visit. You can also see the Tillamook lighthouse off in the distance to the left of the last rock. If you are a beach person then this area of the Oregon coastline will just make your heart go pitter patter. Hope this shot gives you the excited feeling of being there or makes you want to visit. This was taken with my Nikon D80 and is straight from the camera.

There was a rock like cave we went into, and I took this shot from that view point, getting very wet, lol. Shutter Speed was 1/500, Focal Length was 18 mm., and F-stop and aperture value was F/13.
The Siuslaw Falls are located 9 miles west of the small town of Lorane, Oregon just off of Siuslaw River Rd. about 1mile up Siuslaw falls Rd. There is a nice swimming place above the falls with old pick nick tables and a fire pit for day use only. The lady at the county store in Lorane said, “In the summertime a lot of the local kids go swimming there” when she was giving me directions on how to get there. / In the past 35 year I’ve driven past these falls many times and never knew they were there until gardenerpat on RedBubble told me about them. Matter of fact one of my favorite spots to pick wild Oregon blackberries is not that far down the road from there. It just goes to show you can go your whole darn life and not know what’s right around the corner from you. Taken; March 6, 2009 / With a Canon PowerShot SX10 IS / Tv 1/200<br />Av f 5.60

While taking pictures near my Tukwila, WA, home, I sat my umbrella down, opened. When I turned to pick it up, it had caught some of the falling leaves. Taken with a Kodak Easyshare V1003 and no viewfinder.
Macro of a pine cone sitting on a shrub. It struck me as sort of poetic. Taken in Tukwila, Washingon. Taken with kodak easyshare v1003 in macro, no viewfinder.
MISSION RANCH / Carmel-by the Sea, California If you ever saw the movie, “A Summer Place” with Sandra Dee and Troy Donohue about 1959, this cottage was in the movie. It is more lovely these days with Mr. Eastwood making sure that everything here is kept ship shape. The rose bush climbing over the front door and window would be such a gorgeous sight in a few weeks when those hundreds of buds burst into bloom. The front door is just a short walk to the ocean.

Uchi-Roji: inner-garden path Taken at Portland Japanese Gardens, Portland Oregon. “The tea garden consists of a pathway (roji) that leads to Kashintei (Flower-Heart Tea House), connects inner and outer gardens, separated by a simple bamboo gate. The outer garden path (soto-roji) leads guests to the machiai (waiting place), until the host greets them and invites them to enter the inner garden path (uchi-roji). Here guests pause at the tsukubai (arrangement of stones around a water basin) to rinse their hands and mouth, symbolically removing the dust of the real world behind. The path through the gardens represents a journey that is so important to the creation of the proper state of mind for the tea ceremony that the word roji has become synonymous with tea gardens themselves.” / —www.japanesegarden.com (Portland Japanese Gardens)

How romantic would it be if someone said to you, “Come Away With Me”. To me it would represent a pleasant time away from the cares of the world. It could be a few hours or several days, if it were someone that I liked a lot, I wouldn’t hesitate.
