I like the contrast with light and dark. Have always found in photography that the combination of light and dark when in the natural balance creates such power and beauty. Have never really brought the theory of needing bad to appreciate good. More like to think that neither is bad and that balance creates eternal joy.

Thank you Amber. It was just a rose from my front garden and the light was good.
Don’t you find that glow at the top of it weird? All I did was take out the colour, and increase the contrast a little. I was wondering if it was some sort of water spray or humidity around the flower. It doesn’t show up in the colour version.
Or perhaps I just captured the plant’s soul.
