Hi, I love the stuff on your blog!!! Your self portrait and the portrait of your wife is gorgeous. This piece is pretty good, though am not sure if the line of the character is too thin or if the front wave line is just too think. Other than that I think it’s great.

Yeah, that’s a fair criticism. In the original piece the character was closer and larger, but I decided putting him further back had a greater impact and made the waves more powerful. However in doing so i’ve seperated the character somewhat from the background. I am always learning :)

Whoops, just realized I made a typo, that’s ‘thick”, not “think” It definitely has greater impact that the character is smaller to make the waves more powerful looking. Just wasn’t too sure about the thickness of the line, but like I said, I still think it’s an awesome piece! Is there a written story that goes along with your work?
