Through a Child's Eyes

Through a Child's Eyes

This is from a series of stills I did for a short video. A child sees someone who needs her bear more than she does. All the parents can do is say “get away from that lady..shes filthy” You can see the little video here if you want to. Turn up the sound a bit. :o) http://www.associatedcontent.com/video/59/some_peoples_lives_homeless_project.html?cat=47

Great image John. We are so protective and seperative these days. Whilst there is need for balance I wonder if people being more humble and open would more protect them from strangers than would our present fear.

That is really something to wonder :o)

This is so touching, my heart is just aching right now. Having one priceless shot that shows embarrassment, love, concern, heartlessness (if that’s even a word. I honestly put “ness” on far too many words these days.) and more all in one shot is amazing. You’ve done a most excellent job with this piece. Congrats. :)

A friend and I spent an hour talking to a homeless man on the side of the highway a month or so ago and I couldn’t believe his story. He amazed me and inspired me far more than most ever have. I think what was most incredible to hear was how God has cared for him even in his trying situation. My gf and I asked him what we could get for him to help make the winter easier and he said nothing. Nothing!! This man with nothing but his shopping cart full of his belongings and the clothes on his back was completely content. Which is far more than any of us can say. I have to admit, a part of me is envious of how grateful and satisfied he is. I wonder what it would take for the rest of us to say that. I’m sure not even Donald Trump or Oprah feel contentment. It’s simply mindblowing.

Anyways, thanks for sharing this picture. It’s my new background. I love it dearly.

Are you on deviantart.com as well? If so could you tell me the link so that I may feature it in my journal? Many thanks. :)
