I love the tone of balance of this piece. A title eludes me, however.

  • Kitsmumma replied

Thanks so much Steve, still eludes me too!

Always interesting work, Sylvia. First word that came to me was ‘frill’, I think this is because it looks like hair, and it just fired off ‘fringe’, but on second blinking I thought ‘freefall’ :)

  • Kitsmumma replied

Always interesting interpretations Silvia. I’ll admit, hair is not what I wanted the viewer to see…...but each to their own imagination, hehe! It did bring a smile to my face. This is meant to be an interpretation of a landscape, my landscape. It is actually a photo of some trees/branches. Not sure if it works or not?

I’d have to say the white matte…

  • Kitsmumma replied

Thanks for that Karen, I agree.

I also agree with the white matte, also, what emotion did you wish this beauty to conjure up (apart from the glory of a prize) :)

Just lovely. The word “hiding” comes to me, as in hiding in the waving grass. I prefer the black mat.

the black really focuses the image, while the white opens it up.
smacks of fred williams… a homage to the great man?

Wow this is gorgeous and so beautiful! :) Very well done!

Hmm, I think a white matte would work, although I do like the black one, too….!

Hi Sylvia, I’ve recently been converted to black matts – and I think it makes this particular image “pop” based on your samples so that’s my vote. As for a title, something to do with weaving or woven??

  • Jules Campbell

MM a tough one ttv princess, for me the white matt softens the image and the black pulls the image in and contains it. I guess depending on what you what to call it might determine the colour of the matt perhaps. Say the white matt and a title like ‘breeze’ or ‘flow’ like Miron suggests. But with all that said..black is also traditional for displaying and presenting in photo comps.. you would also have to consider the size of the image too?

Dreamweaver. First thing that popped into my head.

As for the matt, if your only choiced are black or white definately the black. Black draws the eye into an image whereas white forms a barrier, except for a very few pictures which it totally suits. However, if you decide to get this printed off and matted at your local framing shop I would suggest maybe a deep blue, or even a chocolate brown. If you went with the chocolate brown you could have a cream double matt for the centre matt.

i like the black matte and what about fragmented for title? i see the design but i see how it’s broken into sections, fragmented.

  • Dorit

Wow. Beautiful image. Love the tones and the movement.
I prefer the black matte. And as a title I though of something with dream. Maybe “I had a dream last night” or Rhanas suggestion “Dreamweaver” or “Dreamscape” or “Wonderland”.

    Another title – “Zephyr” ?

Great shot. As title I would like to suggest to borrow an album title from British progressive rock band Van der Graaf Generator:
“The Least We Can Do is Wave to Each Other”

Sorry, but I too thought it was hair, blonde infact, for they are the colours. Otherwise to me it’s the depth of a wheat crop blowing in the wind…......
