Skyroad
Someone on Flickr said I should call this “Skyroad”. So there you go. Taken at Tullamarine airport, Melbourne.
Note, if you’d like to buy a print, you can buy through red bubble, but you can also contact me by bubblemail and I’ll arrange custom printing :)

Wow… I love this. Very cool!! I thought they might have been falling stars or something from the thumbnail, but when I saw the enlarged version it was clear :) Simply beautiful!

Cadence Gamache
This is SUCH a fantastic photo! You’ve made the subject matter way more interesting than how it is usually depicted by using a classic technique combined with an extraordinarily creative eye <3>
Stephen Mitchell
Amazing shot! It took me a second to understand what it was … and a few more seconds to determine how I can attempt to create the same scene. Here in Adelaide we have locations (including a car park for aeroplane enthusiasts) around our Airport where similar photography can be achieved. Oh boy, now to find a spare evening!
Jeff Burns

Abosuletly sensational stuff! I saw this in person at the Silverminers exhibition today… night time long exposures is something that digital still has catching up to do… so hats off for hoing the film route! Great meeting you too!

I went to the exhibition again today and had another look at everything. I’m still interested in buying this one.
I have to admit though, I’m having a little trouble with the whole digital printing thing. Its not that I object to buying a digital print online, its just that in the context of an exhibition that is about still doing analogue photography in the digital age, it doesn’t sit quite right. And its probably just an uneasiness due to my expectations: I had presumed all the prints would be done old skool. Maybe that’s what analogue has to do to stay alive though, exploit digital printing and online distribution services. Its just I still have the feeling of wanting it to be more special, more gelatinous, luminous, and tangibly created. But hey, maybe I’ll get over that idealistic nostalgia. Certainly the situation is food for thought and I always appreciate that :)
In any case though, I love this image and I thoroughly enjoyed the exhibition.

I don’t know what it is but it’s wonderful… :)

In searching for night pix I came across your work of art. I just took an image to be posted shortly that includes a plane in the night sky, too. I could not figure out why the plane lights only came out as dots and not streaks until I realized the lights were likely blinking! Excellent skyroad!
science
Thanks Mrehere and others :)

Immaculate example of Time Elapse Photography and Composition
Judging by the Light Travel I presume that you must have studied your subject carefully as I can see you have captured the Taxi to clearance, the warm up and the take off. Fabulous work!!! Well Done
