Really lovely – full of character. I love the little smirk on the gorilla’s face – almost like s/he’s suggesting s/he knows something we don’t! Great detail in the coat and you’ve handled the lovely lighting around the head to frame the face. I’ve read that the nose prints are different for each gorilla – it’s their identifying feature – and therefore very appropriate that we should capture a glimpse of this one here.

Gorillas no better than to try and take over the world. They know that we should just live in harmony with it. Hence the Gardening Australia mag – GA don’t use poisons or harmful sprays. Brilliant photo Sharon…

Hey I spent last weekend at the Melbourne Zoo facinated at how much the Gorilla’s looked like my Dad, my son even rang to ask him what was he doing at the zoo! They are so amazingly human. I love this pic it reassures to me that we are really the missing link!

this is very nice, and it made me chuckle!! A lot of your portraits are nice, but would maybe like to see some in portrait mode. The one of Bianca is beautifully exposed, but a considerable amount is blank, about 50%. Just a suggestion, you have some beaut portraits!!
