The beauty of the ocean is that there are almost limitless ways of showcasing its different moods and characteristics. The incoherent turbulence is always present especially at the shore where waves end their journey. Low angle and long shutter speed and of course picking up the camera just before the water reached me. Thunderstorm at Lido Key beach, Florida. The two brightest celestial bodies are the Moon and Venus. Because of the storm most people cleared the beach, but because of the storm, I was drawn towards it. Unfortunately, I did not get another good shot of lightning that evening – I forgot to bring my tripod, so the photos prior to this one are too blurred. I captured this clear shot by setting my camera on a beach chair, and propping up the lens with one of my flip-flops. And this stroke of lightning was the last significant one. But I’m sure grateful for it! / (Photo taken on July 17, 2007) ”#12 Great Features.”

Lake Falls in Matthiessen State Park is possibly the most magical, spiritual waterfall I have ever photographed. It is special and always blesses me with a wonderful spiritual feel to it. It inspires me to be religous in some way that I cannot explain. / The whirlpool is like God. He has no beginning and no end. Super Macro photograph taken from a rock. Focal length 6mm.- 20mm. “As the last rays of sunlight slowly faded away, the temperature started to drop quickly. We would need to find shelter for the night soon. It had been a long trek through the mountains with little nourishment to sustain our energy. The longer we stayed out in this bitter cold, the less chance we would have surviving, especially the older members of our clan” Rockscapes Gallery A large variety of my work is available to download and purchase from Shutterstock!
