Canon Powershot with IR filter “As Is” / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / I have been waiting for this kind of shot for a long time. The storms were fierce with a ton of rain last night. I decided to take of work and spend the day at the falls near my house. I must have snapped 200 pictures today. What a great day!! I found a new toy its my infrared lens. The light was changing every minute. I climbed over some huge rocks to get into a great position to take some surfing shots, when suddenly this huge cloud covered up the sun. Suddenly the beautiful light illuminating the waves the surfers were riding was gone. I looked to my left and noticed the light here. Quickly, I grabbed my stuff and setup this shot…..only got one frame, because soon after this the light here was also gone. © 2008 Sharon Anne Mau Featured in Colours of Water Best viewed full size where you will see the light play an optical illusion of motion as the sunlight on my right dances on the water. / I created these ripples with the rudder of my paddle boat, lining it up to ripple toward the center cloud! / It took about 8 attempts, adjusting the rudder slightly in my attempts to get the ripples as perfectly horizontal as possible. The fall colours in Nova Scotia can be so beautiful. This picture was taken from a spot in West Pennant called Hospital Hill. Hospital Hill is a couple of miles back in the woods but well worth the hike! When you climb to the top of the hill the views are spectacular, ocean in one direction and hills in the other.
