This is for Lisa and Mark, for Boz, Whirli, Kristy, Demon and derid. Its for cdwork, richiedean, Stuart, googa Nicole and oz… Its for everyone who commented on my last two images and everyone who just loves tulips! I had so much fun yesterday capturing the glorious colours and forms of so many tulips that Ithink I have fallen a little in love with them. Daffodils will remain my perennial favourite of course, but I think tulips are now up there on my list with baby carnations and old fashioned roses. I posted the images yesterday to get some feedback from you all for the Tulip Festival coming up, as our camera club is holding an exhibition. However, I have all these wonderful images left over which arent perfect, artistic, or otherwise worthy or of interest being posted here on RB. They are however… TULIPS! They are bright! They are colourful! They are a little sexy and not afraid to reveal their inner goddess ;) They put a smile on my face (and hopefully yours!) So I thought I would post these here purely for the enjoyment factor. Come a tip-toeing with me ;) LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL

This Doodle Tree artwork of Margpie is such a wonderful surprise for the day! :D I was so over the moon when Margpie first bmailed me to tell me that she did a piece of artwork with me in mind and included my owls in her trademark doodletrees and asked if it would be ok for her to publish it here. I am so touched by her warm gesture and generosity of heart to me here on RB, please allow me to share my joy and Margpie’s Doodle Tree Art here :D Metamorphosised The little friends came to visit Doodle town, / they transformed the place and brought back the colour, / they were special , they spread their magic throughout the land / and now once again there is peace. This journal entry may start out like a list of disaster – because in some ways it is – but it is also about hope, patterns, abstract art and how I am using them to build joy. So.. In June I lost my job, in early July my dog died, in late July I had an operation. I did get another job and I like it, for a while it looked like it may all turn out OK but then another disaster struck so now in October I will be forced to declare my family homeless and goodness knows what will happen then! It’s been a crummy summer and it has rained a lot! During this time I have found it hard to concentrate of any form of art but it is has never been far from my thoughts. In this last month I have started to have some fairly hellish images moving into my thoughts that I have not requested to be there. At first I actually thought about working with them and trying to portray them thinking this may help but then I realised that could just make them more intense and I want them to go away – so instead I picked a pallette – I decided on yellow for sunlight and green for growth and I then began working on a series of patterns using these colours – it has been helpful. I saved these pictures in a folder called “Sunny Disposition” and have started to think of them as patterns of hope.
