I’ve bought six new IKEA glasses but one of them got broken when I washed it for the first time. Of course, I wouldn’t just throw it away, as well as my daughter couldn’t throw away a Camellia blossom she has found fallen at the ground two days later… / I believe these two imperfect subjects made a perfect combination. What do you think?
Old bushel basket with summer daisies.
This picture took a long time to create. The flowers (Chamaescilla corymbosa) are very common in the bush near my home, but they are also very tiny, so it is difficult to create a frame free of “clutter”. I wanted the orange flower to be an out-of-focus background contrast to the main blooms, while having all the stamens sharp. Lots of time lying down with the tripod in amongst the jackjumpers! Velvia scan. “Dance with me!” was featured in the group A Beautiful Blur.
A compilation of photography and illustration for something new and fun. This photo was turned into an advertisement for a condom company.
Watercolour done on Saunders Waterford 140 LB Rough, 410 mm X 310 mm ,These poppies i decided to add drama by taking a low angle and giving plenty of movement in the background,Also gave image extreme highlights & shadow detail.
Watercolour done on Arches 140 LB rough 510mm X 360mm picture of Poppies in Sussex.
Red Tulips..Taken in my mums back garden, i kept the background nice and natural because i think everyone does flower shots with black or white/ plain backgrounds and this makes the image a little different

30”x 40” acrylic on Number 80 Bainbridge Board cold-pressed. I used gesso to cover the beginnings of something I had started a long time ago. I have been working on this off and on for the past couple of weeks…...... between giving time to two grandsons, ten cats, and a dog. First large painting, and first flowers I have done in a while. My inspiration has been all the wonderful florals I have seen on RedBubble! There are so many beautiful paintings and drawings on this site….....all are an inspiration for me to paint and draw again.

Floral Harmony was featured in the group Black With a Hint of Colour in May 2009 Three Calla Lilies were all together in this garden plot showing off their beauty in harmony!
Digital image, desaturated and enhanced in Photoshop. The original image had lots of sparkles so not much manipulation was needed, I was wondering if that was where the idea came from for those lights, do you know the ones I mean with all the fibres lit up.
