  • This image was taken @ Port Willunga at the remains of the old jetty. On a recent journey back to Port Willunga recently, I’d noticed that many of these posts had been burnt. A fun stunt at the time I suppose :( Best viewed on a black background. Images from Australia / Architecture / Images from Japan / Sunsets / Water Scenes

  • A glorious sunset of Southern California Coast near San Diego.

  • Carved By Nature’s Wrath / The 12 Apostles, Victoria Following a day of torrential rain and gale force winds, the sun shone momentarily, lighting up the moody sky, before plunging the rugged coastline into complete darkness. As night falls, a solitary waterfall is all that remains of the passing storms, returning the much needed rain to the swollen seas of the shipwreck coast. • As is the case with many of my shots there is a considerable time gap between finding a good location for an image and shooting it. I found this spot in March 2007 on an overcast day completely unsuitable for photography. I finally returned in November 2007 to capture the shot I had envisaged all those months before. On this occassion the light surpassed my expectations with the results being worth the wait. With the number of visitors and photographers that visit not only Wilsons Promontory but Pillar Point and Squeaky Beach in particular it amazes me that I have never seen this composition before. Shot on Velvia with a Canon EOS30. For more shots from this area check out my Wilsons Promontory gallery. 10% of all profits go to the Wilderness Society

  • This shot was taken in The Water Run on the Coastal Walk in Royal NP just south of Sydney Australia. It was a wild and stormy evening and the sun just started to emerge from the clouds behind me as it was setting. The blue tint to the water comes for a very short period around sunset – you can just see it in any moving water at this time in the right light but the camera really picks it up. Canon 30D / Tv: 1/6sec / Av: f/13 / ISO: 100 / FL: 28mm

  • Don’t usually go for the created image as such but I was mucking around the other day and did this simple edit of my most popular rb pic. I love how the clouds, sun and rocks combine to form a face. Hope you like it. For more shots from this area check out my Wilsons Promontory gallery. 10% of all profits go to the Wilderness Society

  • 16”x 12” Watercolour painting on cold pressed paper of the sun setting from Long Island, Whitsundays. This painting is a memory of a trip my husband and I took earlier this year to the beautiful island. There were many breathtaking sunsets, with amazing rainbow colours and this was just one of them. the glow of the night / is such a sight / shadows approaching over the land / painting the sky with a rainbow wand…. • Sailor by Cheyenne The Lighthouse: / Old and Beautiful, Tall and Bright as it guides my Sailor home in the night. / Dark and Stormy sea, / the Hurricane tosses, his Boat rocks, / water breaches it’s Deck. / My Sailor’s in trouble, / His Ship as it begins to sink. / All hope is lost, until.... / Until He sees Me, / My shadow cast out on the Stormy sea, / casting out miles away, / the powerful light within the Lighthouse, / guides my Sailor home again. / Safe and Sound, my True Love is found. / The Lighthouse stands Tall and True, perched on top a cliff, / Old and Beautiful. / A symbol of Our strong Love. / Faithful We are to It. / It’s faithfulness is forever to our Gratitude. This is a view of La Corbiere Light House in Jersey, CI, that I discovered for the first time this summer. This has become one of my favorites. I look forward to going again next year. I love seaside skies. They can be so romantic and sometimes mysterious, and the sound of the waves crashing upon the rocks or the much gentler shore line. The poem was above was written by a friend here on Redbubble, Cheyenne. please do check out her profile. • Sunset at the Curracurrang, just south of Wattamolla, Royal National Park. This is a wild and very rugged section of the Park with amazing rock formations and striations, none of which you can see here because it’s late dusk. But this evening had one of the most spectacular sunsets I’ve seen here in the Park. I don’t know why but good sunsets here are few and far between but when they come – carumba! / The sea wash looked pearl-like against an opalescent sky with the cliffs stringing in between like a necklace. Whoops, waxing lyrical, better stop. Two blended exposures – one for the sky and one for everything else. Taken with the old Canon 30D / Tv: 1.6secs and 1/4sec / Av: f/8 / ISO: 100 / FL: 28mm

  • Found my Mojo!, been ages since I got wet ;-) found these warn limestone blocks in the North Bay at Kaikoura on New Zealand’s South Island, carved smooth by the sea in a very blocky pattern, very different to the other rocks I found which tended to be sharp like sharks teeth. Shot on a Nikon D700 with 17-35mm lens, with Cokin ND4 grad filter.

  • Title from a certain Chris Isaak song… I haven’t been taking a lot of photos whilst enjoying my stay in San Francisco but this little visit to a certain bridge we all know, made the fact that I hadn’t been out not matter to me at all, I absolutely loved this spot and I can’t wait to come back to this great city and explore it a little bit more… Without a doubt this is already one of my favourite photos out of the many thousands I have taken over the past 18 months or so, thanks for looking :D / Settings Canon 40D, 10-22mm IS. • Warn limestone blocks in the North Bay at Kaikoura on New Zealand’s South Island, carved smooth by the sea. i shot this just as the dawn started, its very very calm, or so it seam, a wave had crashed in and rushed back, this is a 25 second exposure, chek out the gull on the rock to the right, it didn’t move! Shot on a Nikon D700 with 17-35mm Nikkor Lens, ND 4 soft Grad, tripod with weighted bags.
