This is again, from a drive through the back roads of the Dandenong ranges in Victoria. I was just driving around and stopping to photograph things that caught me eye (I wound up lost too). This is a plot of land behind a farmhouse near Seville.
Seville, Vic, Australia. I saw this grove of Chestnut trees on the side of the road and jumped a barbed wire fence to shoot it. It was such a surreal morning with the mist rolling through the trees. Took about a dozen shots here and stole 7 chestnuts which I had with my dinner that night. It was only after uploading this that I decided that I’m not entirely happy with it. I have about 10 different versions of it shot at different angles some of which I think are a little better.
On the way to Craig’s Hut (never made it) in the Victorian high country.

Another from the misty morning in the Dandenong Ranges in Olinda
Lithuania, Klaipeda region
Saturday morning, the weather very nice with sunshine and no winds at all. At this time of year this is very rare, and usually opens possibilities for mist. / I arrived at the forest, there was not another soul in sight. How I wonder why people are in such a hurry to go shopping or whatever, when they could have enjoyed a stroll here! .... This wondrous poem written by sweet Sally Omar .. for the painting …’The mists of time”....The tree stands strong / against the wind and the rain / watching life’s harmony / and watching life’s pain / its branches sway in the wind / leaves fall to the ground / wind howls through them / a lonesome sound / bark withered and worn / its destiny / strength in its limbs / a wise old tree / the sun shines through / its golden leaves / in the beauty of life / a soft sweet breeze / memories held / in mists of time / holding close / dreams sublime / by Sally Omar / ....by Sally Omar…....my first oil painting …. There is nothing so special as a misty morning in Pisgah National Forest, Western North Carolina, my favorite place in the world. The world is silent except for the soft whispers of water and mist. Pure magic. I added the Orton effect and changed the hue to create a more dream-like effect. Hope you like it! Featured in A BEAUTIFUL BLUR – September 28, 2009! The mist around the trees was so beautiful yesterday morning, and everything felt so peaceful, I couldn’t resist a couple of textures and overlays to help create the feeling. Original photograph with grunge texture overlay, colour and levels adjustments. Featured in Red Bubble Home Page, April 2009
Misty haunting morning this morning, sitting in a pine plantation at Mt Burr in the Limestone Coast area of South Australia. Last hints of fog lifting as the sun rose towards a clear blue sky. Canon 400D 18-55 lens with ND4 filter. Three shot HDR converted in Photomatix and cropped to size. Damn it was cold!!!!!!!!!!

Out early this morning to watch the sun rise through the fog in a pine plantation at Mt Burr – Limestone Coast South Australia. Certainly worth the cold to see the beauty as the sun tried to force its way into the forest. Canon 400D 18 – 55 with ND4 filter. Processed in Photoshop CS3.
