  • One of many in a recent photo shoot. My niece wanted some “glamour” type photos. This was the first time I had been approached to do sexy shots. Thankfully, I had a hot model with some intuitive moves. :) I found that giving direction to my subjects is an area I really need to work on. I do the makeup, the lighting, get the settings adjusted on the camera but then when it’s “shoot time” I’m like a student choking on the test, drawing a blank. I have no problem bossing my husband around-LoL-but I don’t like bossing others around…a catch 22 because direction is exactly what the subject is looking for from me. Guess I just need to get over it! All of my newer portraits are shot against a green screen with the background keyed out and a digital one dropped into place. Perspective is changed on a portion of the background for depth when doing full body shots along with adding any necessary shadows or lighting effects.

  • A panorama of the Earnhardt fan fair trailers… Pocono Raceway – Long Pond, Pennsylvania. / June 2006

  • Never seen his car in person before so I had to get out and get some shots… Photo taken @ CFC in Ogden 4 April 2008

  • Lowe’s Motor Speedway – Charlotte, N.C. – 2007

  • This is a picture of Dale Earnhardt Jr. during testing prior to the Daytona 500. I am a huge racing fan and my collection of driver photos will prove this…

  • The crowd reaction to this car was amazing and all the crew did was push it down to pit road. There is something about Junior Nation and they hadn’t even ran the first race of the year.

  • This is a photo of Tony Stewart in his car at Daytona. This was taken during testing prior to the Budweiser Shootout

  • This is a very intimidating photo of Kevin Harvick at Daytona.

  • This was the last photo I took of Dale Sr. prior to his untimely death. This was also the last race I went to with my father at the 2000 Brickyard.

  • I have had some people ask about Jeff…I have several drivers and am posting a few phtoso for your viewing…thanks

  • He is trying to win one for his new team and older brother DW.

  • A close up shot of Dale Earnhardt Jr.s car in Charlotte NC. 2008

  • AP – News Bristol, TN 8/23/08 / NASCAR fans in Bristol, TN were invaded by multiple tiny ducklings, which were seen drinking beer from unsuspecting race fans. Beer thievery is a chief reason for NASCAR fans to riot, fortunately track security staff managed to keep things calm. Several scientists present at the race, indicated that the US Government is funding a program to study the erratic migration behaviour of these little known creatures, since they have been seen at the Grand Canyon, Oatman, AZ and now Bristol, TN. Albino duckmeat has become a sought after delicacy in some parts of the US, however the yellow ducks remain too elusive thus far. Note the similarities to this Duck spotted at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon: / The Albino Duck species has been seen frequenting the Oatman, Arizona area: / Some have been seen to beach themselves on the East Coast: /

  • For all the lady race fans out there….THERE ARE several reasons to attend a race… / Jesse Sanders Pit Support for the Target Team / Jeff Vandermoss Chief Mechanic for the Target Team Sold to unknown buyer as poster

  • I got to visit the garage area on Sunday at Talladega and I see why now…there was no one there…kind of reminds me of life as an editor when the paper needs to be done…I hope you enjoy my attempt at art

  • Montandon, PA / German tourist Jutta Wolff makes an interesting discovery during a Covered Bridge tour through several Pennsylvania counties. In an interview with the Montandon Herald, Jutta explains: / “Zees little ducky vuz just sitting on zee rocks eating moss, it vuz so cute. I walked up upon it, and it kept eating zee moss, it vuz not scared at all”. Mrs. Mueller apparently is not aware, that these ducks have become quite a nuisance here in the US, some have even been seen at a NASCAR event, where they attacked race fans and drank their beer. • Collaboration with Bill Gamblin and myself, took his Intimidator photo and added a portrait background and added Dale Earnhardt Logo / /

  • The Earnhardts / 3 layers / A Collaboration with Bill Gamblin and Myself

  • This 11” x 8.5” graphite pencil drawing of NASCAR driver, Kevin Harvick was completed when one of the sports writers at the newspaper I work for asked me how fast can I get this done? It took two days…. after working full time in the day as a graphic artist for the Marketing department. Needless to say, the reported was new and had no idea that the paper where I work would never use or promote my work. Not sure why but I bet it’s written in the fine line somewhere. AHHHH. they seem to promote other local artists but not mine. Makes me wonder what I am doing wrong as an art. hmmmm

  • This is a collaboration with myself and Bill Gamblin / Thanks for letting me use your photos Bill Inspired by Simple Man By Lynyrd Skynyrd which was also played in a tribute to Dale Earnhardts death Listen To Music I took two of Bills Photos one of which was the nascar track and race cars and another photo of Dale Earnhardt and layed them together erasing some of what was in one of the photos using photoshop, I then used the adjustment of opacity to blend these two photos together. I do hope you like this inspirational piece of what use to be and what will still be; because the simple man will still be watching over all of you and NASCAR… /

  • Today’s practice was awesome….. Shot cropped for affect

  • Jeff Gordon entering turn four during his qualifying laps for the 2009 Samsung 500 which was held at the Texas Motorspeedway in Forth Woth, Texas. This was a close as I could get to the track. Had to shoot through heavily meshed fence. Shot with Canon EOS 1d Mark III and a Canon 70-200 IS L USM f2.8 lens with a 2x extender.

  • David Pearson’s #21 Nascar racing auto from the / early 1970s.

  • An exact replica of Dale Earnhardt’s car was displayed at Capitol Park Sacramento, CA this last weekend. It was a bit more than spooky since I watched Dale’s final race “live” and the crash wasn’t even remotely fearsome. In fact, it was so tame the announcers and cameramen stayed focused on it only because it stopped the race. By the time I knew how deadly it was I was reading it in the morning newspaper. I wrestled with what to do with this shot. It is a memorial tribute so I leaned towards monotones but the background was impossibly busy with fans and sightseers. I blurred the car and felt I was blurring the memory as well. So I settled upon blurring the car – Dale’s car – in time by taking the current day bystanders out of focus. Using the selective editing tool is a nightmare when everything has the same tones, hues, colours, lines, contrasts, etc. I suggest anyone interested in trying it ask me for the original shot and I’ll give you a crack at it. If you’re better at it than me, we’ll call it a collaboration and I’ll substitute it for the one. :-)
