Something besides portraiture for a change! This piece won the College Foundation Purchase Award in the student art show I entered last April. It was my first ever entry into an art show, and I was shocked and elated that I actually won something. Needless to say, I am very proud of this image. © Cadence Gamache This piece was nominated into the Pay It Forward group by the wonderful Melanie Dooley. Self portrait - I love these magazines my Grandma gave them to me! all the ones I have are from the early 1940’s this one is my favorite, on the cover is Gloria Grahame she was in some really old films and one of them was It’s a Wonderful Life I can’t remember the other ones but I just love looking through these magazines!

This old camera once belonged to my Grandfather who bought it in Czechoslovakia in around 1930. It is a Zeiss-Ikon camera with German Schneider Kreuznach optics. Now the camera belongs to me and I will treasure it forever.

This is an image created to illustrate an environmental portrait of an old camera called a “speed graphic”... the whole scene is meant to tell a story of a time when this camera was in use. I hope you enjoy this marvelous piece of photographic history. Stand & Deliver Mixed Media, lots of layers and textures. / Moll Cutpurse is the only highway women I’ve found any reference to although I’m sure there were more…probably too smart to get caught;) Moll Cutpurse’s real name was Mary Firth, a bit of a tomboy, always ready for a rumble and happiest in the company of men. / Sources on her history are a little conflicting but she was a bit of a roguette and after pulling a big job on a Lord, brided her way of goal and the business finding it safer to work as a fence…..a fascinating character from the early 1600’s. Von kindly posted this wonderfully fitting poem / The wind was a torrent of darkness among the gusty trees, / The moon was a ghostly galleon tossed upon cloudy seas, / The road was a ribbon of moonlight, over the purple moor, / And the highwayman came riding- / Riding-riding- Sales to date: 2 / Available as a framed print, matted print, poster and card. / I wouldn’t like to feed the photographers for which this photo is the plain and simple truth. Another instalment in my Nostalgia series although a little different then usual in the set-up. It’s a lot simpler a composition then most of my work, but let me assure you, it was so much harder to get right! Shot with my relatively new Pentax K10D and a very old Pentax-A 1:1.7 50mm objective. You can read all about the technique used in this tutorial more work / the calendar / preview / “Forgotten” was sold as a Medium mounted print to an anonymous buyer.
