This shot is part of a series titled ‘212’. Room number 212 was the room hired for this work and was shot in a hotel room in Melbourne before I left, using only available light. My intention here was to move away from the polished commercial style of photography I had been focusing on and try to capture something a bit more raw and grungy… My edit so far has the series at 13… I think that is where it will stay. I hope you like it. Special thanks to my amazing make up artist Gen, / and legendary hair stylist Sam. Not to forget the four very special girls who modeled for this shoot: Missy, / Max, / Lola and / Bonnie.

I’ve just discovered how to use Skype and have been on with my best mate in England … webcam and headphones … brilliant stuff !!! I was able to chat with him face to face … absolutely fantastic as though he was in the room next to me … wowowowowowowowow If any of you have never used Skype, its free to download and chat to friends anywhere around the world … it is simply great … it would be cool if some RB folk started communicaing that way … its far better and realistic … it would help people get to know each other better accross continents and discuss their art and creativity (projects, etc) ... please go and investigate it for yourslf … you will find it amazing … really !!! ... but RB is great too … don’t get me wrong! SNAPPYDAVE x

Quite simply, this group is about….shoes!
It can be a fetish but shoes are an art form alone. Some shoes are art. I know I have bought a few and cannot wear them and so have made them into art. I do printmaking and do prints of shoes, perhaps you make sculpture out of shoes, or maybe you like to photograph people and their shoes, Shoes must feature in the picture, right now this group is open to post as many shoes as you like. I may moderate closer lately. Please keep it to shoes only.
