This structure was initially constructed in 1929 as a Masonic temple, but it was never completed and it remained an eyesore to the skyline of Providence, RI for almost 80 years. It has since been restored as the Renaissance Providence Hotel. Holga image using 20 year expired AGFA film. No digital manipulation. (c) Paul Lavallee 2007 /

  • The Wonderment of Youth by Paul Lavallee

Even dragons are not out of place in the imagination of children. The tail end of the dragon on the roof of the Providence Children’s Museum. In this cross processed image on Velvia slide film, the blues stayed blue, the red was oversaturated, and the contrast was increased. The Diana camera created a soft light leak on the top of the tail and some slight vignetting. No digital manipulation. (c) Paul Lavallee 2007 /

About This Group

“A group for plastic camera fanatics! If you use a holga, diana, lomo or any other toycamera as well as homemade pinholes; upload your best shots here. This is the kingdom of ””cheap”” photography where plastic, leaks and vignetting are kings. Make sure this is not the right place for any digital or post processed photographies. And please… upload a maximum of 2 shots a day (so our homepage features few different artists at the time)
