This shot was taken near Curbar Edge in Derbyshire. The tree standing all alone in the marsh grass gave me a great focal point. The image is a HDR because I want to capture the light in the clouds and the grass. I also shot this with a ND 8 filter to give strong colours. Taken with Canon EOS 5D Mark II using EF20mm f/2.8 USM ISO 100 / f16 / 1/10 / Autoexposure Bracketing +/- 1

Also known as Golden Point, situated in between chewton and faraday, just a short drive off the calder highway. Taken mid -morning.
Lake Mamanasco is in northern Ridgefield CT. It’s northeastern shore borders a small park and features beautiful trees and cliffs. This was taken on a sunny and crisp October day in 2006 from a small boat launch on the southern shore.

Down near the Salmon River, thick stands of eucalypts are abundant…...and this morning, they were swathed in foggy mists. This particular fellow must have got a bit lost when he was born, as when the mists lifted, he had behind him a full-on forest of his mates, all growing stately and strong. Salmon River / Tasmania Canon 400D / Canon 200mm lens / F32 at 1/4 sec / polariser / saturated socks and boots / thanks Phil!!
Out Myalla way, NW Tasmania, after a small shower, a brilliant rainbow popped out as we were heading home…..so, I grabbed a shot of this tree, looking like a conducter, the threeman orchestra watching his upstretched hands attentively, as the rainbow shone down his music…... / Other than that story, its a tree in a rainbow!! Canon 400D / Canon 200mm lens / F2.8 at 1/30th sec / polariser
The sun rising for the day, turning around I see the light reflected off of the tree, and many hands reaching up high, what a glorious morning it truned out to be, well with exception to that darn Florida heat Cecil M. When i took this image I could have sworn something was similing back at me. What do you think? This image was shot at the Snowline cider mill and apple farm in Oak Glen California. This tree has the most amazing colors every year. Snowline also boast one of the largest chestnut trees. /
On my way to a friend’s house, I stopped to get this shot.
This was taken at sunset one evening, and the perfect reflection just struck me.
White birch trees and calm, tranquil waters of a little country pond make for a peaceful and pretty setting where hugh fish abound! I caught a big mouth Bass that weighed in at 2 1/2 pounds from this little pond near my daughter’s back yard. GREAT FUN!
The state park in Estonia called Shnelly Lake park.
Just as “The Lorax” of Dr. Seuss fame, we speak for the Trees.
In each image, the Tree should be the main focus. A bird is not a tree. A sunset is not a tree. A waterfall is not a tree. I hope you see my point.
